In celebration of Mario Day and the soon-to-be-released Super Mario Galaxy Movie, Nintendo has released many ways for fans to celebrate their favourite plumber.
Starting off with a journey back in time to the olden days of Mario, where Nintendo has given a special offer to fans subscribed to Nintendo Switch Online. Anyone with a Switch or Switch 2 can now play Mario titles from the Super NES, Game Boy, and NES. Players can even enjoy select games from different systems, like the Game Boy Advance game Mario vs. Donkey Kong, and even Mario Clash and Mario’s Tennis for the Virtual Boy itself.

Aside from the digital aspect, Nintendo has given players a rare sale event at participating retailers. Games like Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury, Super Mario Odyssey, Luigi’s Mansion 3, and Super Mario Party Jamboree, which are all retailing for a suggested price of $59.99 CAD. Other games like Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door and Mario & Luigi: Brothership are going for even cheaper at $44.99 CAD. Those who want to see all the deals can find a full list here.
As we all know by now, the new Super Mario Galaxy Movie is on its way, and in celebration, Nintendo and Ciniplex have joined forces. At select Ciniplex theatres, Nintendo will have booths where anyone can play single-player or multiplayer video games on the Switch 2.

Heading back to the virtual world, Mario Kart World is offering a weekly series of online races for anyone to participate in. If you take part in any of the three events, you will get 310 My Nintendo Platinum Points solely for participating. That offer is sadly only available in the Americas.
Mario Day is really starting off with a bang this year, especially after the great couple of years the plumber has had. If you are a Mario fan, go check out the festivities online and in person. You might just be able to score an exclusive keychain if you buy a Switch or Switch 2 game featuring Mario from participating EB Game stores.
