NVIDIA has launched the NVIDIA app, essential for users with NVIDIA GPUs in their PCs and laptops, as it simplifies keeping systems updated and offers additional features.
Launched today, the NVIDIA app is aimed at gamers and content creators, helping them keep their PCs updated with the latest GeForce Game Ready and NVIDIA Studio drivers and enabling quick discovery and installation of NVIDIA applications such as GeForce NOW and NVIDIA Broadcast. Alongside simplifying updates and app installations, the NVIDIA app features a unified GPU control centre for fine-tuning games, programs, and driver settings from a single place, as well as a redesigned in-game overlay for accessing gameplay recording tools, overlays, and game-enhancing filters.
The NVIDIA app will also incorporate many features from GeForce Experience and RTX Experience. These features include optional login to redeem bundles and rewards, along with new RTX capabilities to enhance gaming and creative experiences.
The biggest improvement NVIDIA users can expect is a faster, more responsive app. Compared to GeForce Experience, it installs apps in half the time, offers a modernized UI that is 50 percent more responsive, and provides easy access to many features through the navigable sub-sections. Features to be included are:
- Home – Access to every element of the NVIDIA app, loading and configuring your most recently used programs, viewing the latest NVIDIA announcements, and downloading applications.
- NVIDIA Overlay – Redesigned and enhanced as it will now boast 4K 120 FPS AV1 video capture, AI-powered RTX game filter, a new gallery to sort your screenshots and videos, and customizable statistic overlay to view hardware stats on desktop and during gameplay.
- Drivers – Redesigned with bullet points to view “what’s new” and “what’s fixed”, a single carousel to access driver-related articles on games and technologies, and roll back to previous drivers.
- Graphics – Optimal Playable Settings and relevant NVIDIA Control Panel options are accessible in a unified interface.
- System – Configure your displays, enabling G-SYNC, enhance local and streamed video with AI-powered Video Super Resolution and High Dynamic Features, and many more.
- Redeem – Claim GeForce Rewards for your games and apps, including the newly launched GeForce Rewards for THRONE AND LIBERTY.
- Settings – Changing the NVIDIA app’s language, adjusting app options, configuring the notification, and many more.
