Opus Major Unveils MAJJAM, An MMO PvE Musical Adventure Game

Opus Major announces MAJJAM, a co-op adventure game incorporating music into the gameplay with melodies, rhythms, and harmonies.

Established in January 2023, Opus Major aims to bring video games and music together, strengthening the bond between friendship and making the world jam together. To celebrate both forms of art, the studio announced its upcoming title, MAJJAM, a co-op PvE adventure inspired by live jam sessions. Through the power of music, MAJJAM features puzzles, characters with Musical Abilities to enhance their jamming session, and plenty of music to interact with players and the environment.

Entering a world that thrives on music, a fog of death and silence known as Kodé, threatens the blooming homes inhabited by colourful creatures. It is up to the players to unite the world to jam, take on enemies and the fog, solve puzzles, and transform their surroundings with the power of music. As the players unleash their musical talent through a variety of characters, they can unlock, collect, and store Musical Abilities throughout the game to enhance their performance and build upon the character skill sets.

Following the announcement of their upcoming title, the founders of Opus Major, Pierre-Armand Nicq and Jean-Nicolas Vernin, shared: “Our team’s dream is to make the world jam together. In music, a jam is a suspended moment – a shared energy between friends, strangers, and other passionate souls who just happen to be there. You might not know each other, but for a few magical, spontaneous moments, you vibe together. It’s that spark you sometimes feel in a multiplayer game. Our dream is to bring all these joyful moments together into one single, shared experience.”

MAJJAM can be wishlisted on Steam, and players can register for the playtest by visiting the official game website. To keep up-to-date with the game development, players can follow their social media accounts on TikTok, X, and Instagram.
