The Persona 3 Reload: Expansion Pass 1st Content Drop Happens Today

As revealed at the big Xbox Partners Preview, the Persona 3 Reload: Expansion Pass is dropping its first content release today, and fans can jump back in now.

Starting today, fans of the Persona series can expand their in-game music and BGM, with battle music and other music themes from other titles in the series while playing Persona 3 Reload, with the first content drop of the expansion pass happening today. The expansion pass was announced earlier in the month at the Xbox Partner Preview, and the trailer presented can be seen below.

With the expansion pass scheduled to drop into three separate parts, Persona 3 Reload‘s first offering brings some intense music that can be heard throughout the series with two new background music (BGM) sets. The Persona 5 Royal EX BGM Set and the Persona 4 Golden EX BGM Set add many fan-favourite songs from Persona 5 Royal and Persona 4 Golden for players to listen to while exploring and battling in Persona 3 Reload dungeons. While Persona 3 may be a PS2 original title, the remake is indeed adding new storyline content in the coming months as well.

The Persona 3 Reload: Expansion Pass is set to launch in three waves, with this only being the first that adds new music to the atmosphere of Tartarus dungeon delving. The second wave is set to bring the Velvet BGM and costume set to the title in May, with the actual storyline expansion coming later in September 2024. The storyline expansion is called Episode Aigis, and it comes as a surprise due to the original title’s story not seeing a large update since a choice of main character was added in the Persona 3 Portable re-release that launched in 2009.
