The entertainment giant HoYoverse has announced that its cozy galactic life sim, Petit Planet, will undergo a brand-new round of beta testing.

Named the Stardrift Test, players will be able to test out the Petit Planet beta on PC, IOS and Android, with the test starting on April 21st. It will introduce new neighbours, better Starsea Voyage experiances and new activities like the Galactic Bazaar. Sign-ups are now open on the official website.

The plot of Petit Planet revolves around the player taking on the role of a planet tender, who steps into the great Starsea with their own little planet to call their own. As the planets around you gradually connect, they will form a broader galaxy at large where you can spend your time farming, fishing, beachcoming or just taking a day in alongside the fuzzy inhabitants of your planet. As you terraform your planet to your liking and customize your home, you may feel a little lonely; that’s where the Galactic Bazaar comes into play. At the Galactic Bazaar, you will find new connections to people and things there, along with activities to play for enjoyment.

Each bond you form makes a connection in the universe at large while also flourishing it with life. As the bonds deepen and expand the life energy that flows through everything, Luca will shape new landscapes and bring other wondrous things into the world.

The beta will introduce new neighbours to meet and form bonds with each of them, bringing their own stories, personalities, and ambitions into the universe. As a planet tender, players can invite their fuzzy companions to live on their planet, where many heartfelt conversations and thoughtful gifts become part of everyday life. With the Starsea map, players can take themselves and their neighbours on trips to other vibrant islets. And when you’re finished with exploration, head back to the galactic bazaar to meet up with friends for coffee, fortune telling, auctions, and more.

Petit Planet is already headed to PC, IOS and Android, but other platform launches are already in development, and if you pre-register to play, you can even get exclusive rewards.
