Phasmophobia Lands On Consoles Just In Time For Halloween!

The long-awaited console version of the critically acclaimed Phasmophobia is finally arriving on consoles on Oct 29th, 2024. The game will launch in Early Access for PlayStation 5 and PSVR2 as well as Xbox Series X|S. The game will be priced at $19.99 USD.

To celebrate the launch of the console versions, Kinetic will also be rolling out a special Halloween Event that will include spooky set dressing for a few of the maps, and a new “Blood Moon” weather effect. During the Blood Moon, not only will the sky and rain be tinted red but Ghosts will be more empowered and dangerous.

Not only that, as an added bonus the Halloween Event will feature the game’s first community goal-oriented task where players on all platforms can work together to permanently unlock the Blood Moon weather effect. Additionally, players will be able to earn a new badge and trophy by completing different community goals.

“We are so happy to see Phasmophobia enter console early access,” said CEO and Lead Developer at Kinetic Games Daniel Knight. “The community has been asking for console versions and has waited a little while for it to happen. The development team at Kinetic Games have worked
exceptionally hard to make this request a reality.”

Alongside the console release, the PC version will also receive an update that will improve general performance, fix community-reported bugs, and implement a new event board with new challenges and rewards.

This is a pretty monumental moment for Kinetic games. Phasmophobia started on Steam Early Access in 2020 and has gone on to sell almost 20 million copies globally and has achieved more than 550,000 overwhelmingly positive reviews, making it one of the most popular titles on the platform.
