PlayStation Canada was kind enough to send over their newest DualSense Wireless Controllers, the DualSense Hyperpop Collection, and I have to say, this style really stands out among other DualSense controllers so far.
We got to unbox all three of the DualSense Hyperpop Controllers, and to say my desk was colourful would be an understatement. These are the DualSense controllers you already know and love (check outsome of our DualSense reviews here), but with a great new style. They come in Techno Red, Remix Green and Rhythm Blue (my favourite of the bunch), and they are far more vibrant in person than you’d think. I currently own the Cosmic Red PlayStation cover and controller, and this new Techno Red is a whole new ballgame. Think neon. Think vivid. Then you’ll still not be thinking bright enough.
What is different about these DualSense controllers is the texture of the finish, or lack thereof. Other models I have owned have had a slight grip or texture to them, where the Hyperpop Controllers do not, at all. They are completely smooth and ultra shiny, which really helps them stand out. They are also slippery and reflective when you’re trying to take some photos on a desk, for instance. Still, they feel silky smooth in the hand, and the bright colours paired with the black gradient design really do put the pop in Hyperpop!

The DualSense Hyperpop controllers are half of the entire Hyperpop Collection, which includes matching PlayStation 5 console covers. Though I didn’t go hands-on with these, I do love a matching set! The center of the Hyperpop Controllers does not have the same shine as the outer sections, and it looks like the bottom half of the covers has the same matte finish, but I could be wrong. I love the look of the set!
The PlayStation blog post mentioned that these will be available in select markets, and at the time of writing, I am unable to find them for sale, and the pre-order button leads to nowhere, so it doesn’t look like I am able to access them here in Canada, anyway.
The PlayStation DualSense Hyperpop Collection officially release on March 12, 2026, for $84.99 USD, and you can pre-order yours now on their official website, or if you’re Canadian, head here to choose your retailer. They will cost $109.96 CAD. The matching PS5 console covers will be available in limited quantities in select markets for a recommended retail price of $74.99 USD.
