On Wednesday evening, PlayStation unveiled their plans for 2025 with the heavily rumoured State of Play showcase in February 2025 and here are all the announcements.

PlayStation unleashed their highly rumoured State of Play for February 2025 yesterday, and they’ve revealed what’s to come in the PlayStation catalogue of games. This exciting look into 2025 gave fans a slew of new titles to anticipate, as well as giving fresh looks at already announced titles like Capcom’s Onimusha: Way of the Sword.

Aside from new looks on already announced titles, the State of Play for February 2025 also revealed new titles like Days Gone Remastered, Hell is Us, the first look at the Lies of P Overture expansion, and so much more. Borderlands 4

The next entry in Gearbox Software’s Borderlands franchise, Borderlands 4, has been given a fresh look at the PlayStation State of Play. Extra powers like throwing flaming axes and other devastation action skills. Of course, fans were given a few looks at armoury options on the surface of the new setting planet, Kairos. Borderlands 4 arrives on September 23.

Darwin’s Paradox!

For those that enjoy eight-legged adventuring, Darwin’s Paradox! might be the adventure for you. This new puzzle-platformer from KONAMI and ZDT Studio sees players inhabit an octopus named Darwin as he is stolen from the sea and brought to a food processing facility. Darwin’s Paradox! releases at a TBD date.

Dave the Diver: Ichiban’s Holiday

Embracing the island location of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Dave the Diver has announced an exciting new crossover with Ryu Ga Gotoku Studios Like a Dragon series featuring Kasuga Ichiban. Ichiban decides to take a break at the Blue Hole and he comes across a wildlife poacher syndicate forcing both Dave and Ichiban to take action. Dave the Diver: Ichiban’s Holiday arrives in April 2025.

Day’s Gone Remastered

A remastered version of the cult-classic 2019 release, Day’s Gone, is coming to PS5 on April 25, 2025.

Digimon Time Stranger

It’s time to jump back in to the Digital World with fan-favourite Digimon. The latest installment in the Digimon Story game series, Digimon Story Time Stranger, is set to release in 2025 on PlayStation 5.

Directive 8020

Supermassive Games’ next suspenseful narrative has the player follow astronauts of the Cassiopeia on a mission to save humanity. As Supermassive Games is known for, things will go awry and the astronauts will soon be in a fight for their lives. Directive 8020 launches on October 2.

Dreams of Another

The newest title added to the Pixel Junk series, Dreams of Another, has been revealed. Based on the mantra “There is no creation without destruction” this thoughtful title sees the player shoot at to rematerialize the world around them. Shown at the State of Play, Dreams of Another arrives on PS5 and PS VR 2 this year.

Five Nights At Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic

Five Nights at Freddy’s is returning in another survival horror title helmed by the developers at Steel Wool Games. Five Nights At Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic launches on June 13.

Hell Is Us

Hell is Us is the upcoming third-person, post-apocalyptic sci-fi action-adventure game from Rogue Factor is arriving on September 4.

Lies of P: Overture

The previously announced Lies of P DLC has been revealed as Lies of P: Overture. This expansion brings players back to the city of Krat before its collapse, and the adventure follows the Legendary Stalker as they take you through the former splendor present in Krat. Lies of P: Overture launches in the Summer 2025.

Lost Soul Aside

The previously announced action-adventure, Lost Soul Aside, has been given a fresh look and a release date at the PlayStation State of Play. Ultizero Games unleashes a new sci-fi adventure featuring stylish combat with customizable loadouts, and fans wont have to wait long to play. Lost Soul Aside arrives on PS5 and PC May 30.

Metal Eden

Reikon Games’ new sci-fi FPS brings players to a future space colony as combat optimized android Aska, and it’s up to you to protect the colonists. Metal Eden launches on May 6.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater

The previously leaked then released trailer for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater has been shown at the PlayStation State of Play as intended. Metal Gear Solid Delta launches on August 28.

MindsEye

A new title from the developers at Build a Rocket Boy, MindsEye, takes players on an adventure to the past to find Jacob Diaz’s answer to the future in this action-filled romp in fictional America. MindsEye launches this Summer 2025.

Monster Hunter Wilds

It’s almost here, Monster Hunter Wilds invaded the PlayStation State of Play to remind aspiring hunters it’s launch is right around the corner on February 28.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword

Fans were treated to an extra close look at the combat present in Capcom’s next title in the Onimusha series, Onimusha: Way of the Sword. While combat looks crisp and reminiscent of the series, fans have a long wait as it launches sometime in 2026.

Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny

A surprise announcement at the PlayStation State of Play, fan-favourite sequel Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny is coming to PS4 with a fresh coat of paint. The sequel relaunches for PS4, PS5, and Xbox One on May 30.

Another new reveal for the State of Play February 2025 showcase brings Housemarque’s new title, Saros, into the light for the first time. This action adventure tells the story of a lost colony on Carcosa under an ominous eclipse. You play as Arjun Devraj, a powerful Soltari Enforcer who is searching for someone and will stop at nothing to find them. Saros launches sometime in 2026.

Shinobi: Art of Vengeance

The ninja-laden 2D action-platforming series has returned in Shinobi: Art of Vengeance. Featuring the hand-drawn art style of Lizardcube (Streets of Rage 4) Shinobi returns to consoles on August 29.

Sonic Racing CrossWorlds

The next entry in the long-running Sonic Kart Racing series, Sonic Racing CrossWorlds is arriving later this year, but SEGA has deployed an open network test for February 21. Fans can sign up here.

Split Fiction

The next co-op adventure from It Takes Two creator, Hazelight Studios, is arriving soon with Split Fiction. Embody a cooperative writing duo when the forced co-op title Split Fiction launches on March 6.

The Midnight Walk

Tides of Annihilation

Eclipse Glow brought another new reveal to the PlayStation State of Play and unveiled Tides of Annihilation. This single-player action title throws players into a mystical version of London, and players will walk in the shoes of the Capable Gwendolyn, a powerful character that can weild the power of the gray mist to conjure knights to fight by her side, and the choice of knight to summon can influence the outcome of intense combat scenarios. A release date is still TBD.

Warriors: Abyss

The last new reveal for the PlayStation State of Play February 2025 showcase is a new installment in the Dynasty Warriors franchise that sees Musou enter the world of roguelite. Warriors: Abyss lets players play as over 100 heroes from the Warriors franchise while battling hordes of enemies in hell. Fans can jump into the abyss today!
