For those unaware or looking to play a new game until the release of Pokémon Legends: Z-A, Pokémon GO is a mobile title released in 2016, allowing players to roam their surroundings to capture Pokémon and battle their rival team in pinpoint destinations set as Gyms. As the game expands, the title has released many exciting features, including Raid Battles, Max Battles to fight and capture Dynamax and Gigantamax Pokémon, and many more Pokémon from across the generations.

As Trainers continue filling their Pokédex, Pokémon GO: Dark Skies will feature many Dynamax Pokémon from Aug. 18 to 24, with the event transitioning to Pokémon GO Fest 2025: Max Finale on Aug. 23 and 24. During the finale, every currently available Dynamax and Gigantamax Pokémon will return for players to battle and capture, along with opportunities to challenge Eternamax Eternatus, Crowned Sword Zacian and Crowned Shield Zamazenta.

When the events begin on Aug. 18, all Trainers above level 13 will receive a GO Pass: Max Finale, granting them chances to encounter Eternatus and multiple Dynamax Pokémon, and to earn Candy, Max Particles and more as they progress through the pass. For those looking to go all out, a GO Pass Deluxe: Max Finale will also be available for purchase, offering increased candy rewards and additional perks.

Before the events wrap up, Trainers can join Max Battles during surges of active Power Spots, and Max Particle collection rates will temporarily increase. In addition, Trainers can earn extra Candy while catching Pokémon and take part in unlimited daily remote raids during the finale.

Quite an exciting time for many Pokémon GO Trainers to anticipate the upcoming Dark Skies and Pokémon GO Fest 2025: Max Finale events to take on Dynamax and Gigantamax Pokémon. For those looking to join the fun, Pokémon GO is available on iOS and Android.
