Niantic has announced that Pokémon GO will feature a Gigantamax Pokémon event, launching on Oct. 26 and running until Oct. 27.

As Pokémon GO players enjoy the first part of the Halloween celebration, Gigantamax Pokémon will launch from Oct. 26 to 27, with the legendary Kanto starters as the first wave. The Gigantamax Pokémon will require 40 players to team up as they battle the new form. Each Gigantamax Pokémon will have a powerful, unique G-Max attack and G-Max Terror level.

The first wave of Gigantamax Pokémon to be launched in Pokémon GO features the legendary and beloved Kanto starters: Venusaur, Blastoise, and Charizard. They will be available for a limited time, and each will have a powerful G-Max attack. While they could prove troublesome, players can team up with 40 others to battle the Gigantamax Pokémon.

However, the Kanto starter won’t be the only Gigantamax Pokémon to arrive in Pokémon GO, as GMAX Gengar will be available from October 31st to November 3rd. Be sure not to miss the chance to fight GMAX Gengar as a fun way to celebrate Halloween.

Alongside the arrival of Gigantamax Pokémon in Pokémon GO, don’t miss out on the Halloween Part 1 celebration. During the event, players can collect costumes for their avatar, catch costumed Pokémon, participate in raids, and capture many Pokémon available for the holiday, including Morpeko. The event will run from Oct. 22 to 28, 2024.

Are you excited to clash with the Gigantamax Kanto starters and Gengar in Pokémon GO? In the meantime, as you await the event, be sure to stay up to date with the latest news by visiting the game’s website.
