The Pokémon Company has announced the Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket Trade feature and a new expansion, Space-Time Smackdown, releasing at the end of the month for Trainers.
As players open trading card packs and battle in Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket, The Pokémon Company has announced the anticipated Trade feature will be released on Jan. 29, 2025. Alongside the new trading feature, Pokémon from the Sinnoh region will be joining the game in the latest expansion, Space-Time Smackdown, including two digital booster packs focusing on the Legendary Pokémon Dialga and Palkia, releasing on Jan. 30, 2025.
One of the biggest updates arriving to the Pokémon TCG Pocket is the Trade feature, allowing players to trade their digital Pokémon cards with friends to help grow their card collection. To trade your cards with your friend, players will need to use a trade hourglass and trade token if they wish to trade cards with a rarity of ♦1-4 and ★1 with cards of the same rarity. As soon it is released, players can trade certain cards from the Genetic Apex and Mythical Island expansion, with a plan currently in place to expand the lineup of tradeable cards in the future update.
Adding on to the massive Pokémon cards available to collect, the new Space-Time Smackdown expansion will be arriving in Pokémon TCG Pocket, focusing on many beloved Pokémon from the Sinnoh region. The expansion will include two new digital booster packs featuring the Legendary Pokémon Dialga and Palkia. Alongside the deity of Time and Space, there will be many new and unique card illustrations focusing on the fan-favourite Pokémon that will be making their debut in the latest expansion, including Lucario and the Sinnoh starter Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup.
As the players collect the new cards by opening the booster packs or by using the wonder pick feature, the Space-Time Smackdown expansion will include a new binder and display board cover featuring the Legendary Pokémon Dialga and Palkia, and the Mythical Pokémon Darkrai.
With the new Trade feature and Space-Time Smackdown expansion arriving soon in Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket, the game is available now on iOS and Android.
