Rainbow Six Mobile’s Global Release Maps, Operators & More Revealed

Rainbow Six Mobile took the Six International weekend to announce details surrounding the global launch of the game.

During a presentation ahead of the Six International tournament in Paris, France, we received inside details about Rainbow Six Mobile, which is heading to platforms worldwide later this month. As a Canadian, I have had access to Rainbow Six Mobile for quite some time, as have players in Mexico, France, Chile and Colombia. However, the global launch, especially when considering esports ambitions, is a much larger undertaking. For players around the world, the wait is over: Rainbow Six Mobile launches worldwide on Feb. 23, 2026.

Of course, mobile games can’t always be identical versions of their console and PC counterparts. But luckily, we learned a bit about what will be coming to the game at launch and got a peek at the roadmap for the next year.

Rainbow Six Mobile will launch with seven maps to start. Bank, Clubhouse, Border, Oregon and Villa maps should be familiar to Rainbow Six Siege players. However, two maps unique to Rainbow Six Mobile will be introduced: Restaurant and Summit. Both were described as smaller maps, with Summit being the competitive map and Restaurant being classified as not competitive.

Because this is a mobile title, Ubisoft’s developers wanted to ensure the game runs as smoothly as possible across a wide range of devices. That includes smaller screens and significant variation between hardware configurations. One interesting takeaway from the presentation was the change to map size in Rainbow Six Mobile. The decision was made to reduce map sizes by trimming from the outside in and eliminating some of the outer areas.

Those who have played Rainbow Six Siege should be familiar with Operators, with more than 60 in the game to date. Rainbow Six Mobile will launch with 27 Operators (up from the 16 current;y available), and feature 38 in total by the end of the year. The game will operate in one-month seasons, and this year will see one Operator per season.

The devs let us know that there will be one unique weapon per Operator, and for the most part, gadgets will be one-to-one as well. They also promised frequent game tweaks to keep Operators balanced.

For those who enjoy customization, Operators will have three-piece customization. Weapons in Rainbow Six Mobile will have seven attachment slots. The Player Card will allow your avatar, banner, border and Charm to be customized, and even your post-match MVP animations and victory poses can be customized.

Ubisoft also highlighted “tactile readability” in Rainbow Six Mobile. This means the game will include on-screen assistance, such as markers and improved enemy visibility, to help with clarity on smaller screens. The HUD will also be fully customizable to suit a variety of playstyles and grip preferences. If on-screen controls are not your thing, Rainbow Six Mobile will support a range of controllers, including Xbox and PlayStation controllers, as well as the Razer Kishi and the Backbone.

It was also emphasized that Rainbow Six Mobile will be built for not only pros but newcomers. There is a new onboarding sequence introducing the Restaurant map as a home base, allowing new players to get the lay of the land in a small, safe environment. A new Boot Camp Track will introduce features, rewards and Operators bit by bit. Operator Master Tracks will help you unlock skins and attachments, and a Mission Hub will offer events and playlists for mobile play sessions.

Make no mistake, though, Ranked and Competitive modes are the focus of Rainbow Six Mobile, with a roadmap that begins with a focus on balance and fairness, and leads into tournaments, leaderboards and eventually directly into esports. With over a decade in esports, the Rainbow Six franchise has its eye on the prize for Rainbow Six Mobile.

Rainbow Six Mobile will be available globally on February 23, 2026. Get it here on Google Play or on the Apple App Store.
