Resident Evil Requiem Brings Back Another Friendly Face According To PS Store Listing

Resident Evil Requiem continues to inch closer to its February release date, but not without a few leaks in its hull as the PS Store seems to have accidentally revealed the return of Resident Evil 4‘s protagonist.

There have been a couple of leaks that have come out of the woodwork regarding a beloved CAPCOM zombie apocalypse franchise, and they start with the cast of Resident Evil Requiem. First, there was a potential GameStop leak, which listed the PC version’s Deluxe Edition content. This included new skins for a not-yet-announced character (which have since been removed). The character is named, where the Deluxe Edition lists off included content, with the bundle including “three exclusive outfits for Rosemary Winters,” a previously unnamed addition to the cast of Requiem (found by VGC).

While this leak does list the included Deluxe Edition content, it also includes “The Sanctuary,” an Expansion Pass which adds two new story scenarios and “a major Mercenaries mode update”. In these details, the outfits are detailed under the “Shadow Walker” costume pack. While known leakers are skeptical about this leak (because of the listing potentially wrongfully naming the protagonist Rosemary instead of Grace), the PlayStation Store apparently let a huge piece of information out on their official storefront, and it ironically involves the non-Deluxe version of Resident Evil Requiem.

The PS Store leak is an image of Leon S. Kennedy behind Grace Ashcroft on the front of Resident Evil Requiem, and it can be seen below (thanks to IGN). It has long been rumoured that Leon — who has been playable in three mainline Resident Evil titles so far — would be making a return in Resident Evil Requiem, and now it appears to be truer than ever.

The appearance of this image on the PS Store all but confirms the character’s return (alongside previous comments from Producers), but doesn’t say what his role will be in Requiem yet. As with all leaks, fans should take this one with a grain of salt until an official announcement is made, especially considering the extent of the returning character’s influence hasn’t been established.
