Riftbound Unleashed is mere weeks away, so Riot Games unleashed spoilers, and the next new legend is Vi, Piltover Enforcer from the slums of Arcane.
After trailblazing through 2025 and launching Riftbound Spiritforged (the TCG’s second major expansion) earlier in the year, League of Legends: Riftbound is looking towards the future, and its upcoming third major set expansion: Riftbound Unleashed. As the competitive scene for Riot Games has translated over from League of Legends (there is now a full Riftbound competitive scene with qualifiers), so have more of the characters, Champions, and Legends that players can embody on the tabletop.
Since winning an Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program in 2022 (the production has won eight Emmys in total), Arcane has been regarded as one of the best — and most popular — adaptations in gaming, and one of its main characters is hitting the tabletop as Legend. With Riftbound‘s first set, Origins, Arcane‘s Jynx was printed as Jynx, Loose Cannon as a Legend.
Thanks to Riot Games, CGMagazine is proud to spoil a new Riftbound Unleashed Legend also from Arcane (and League of Legends before that). Her sister, Vi, Piltover Enforcer, will join tabletops as a leading Legend of Fury and Order (yellow and red) playstyles. Like Jynx before her, Vi, Piltover Enforcer, will come with three versions: the regular version, the overnumbered and the coveted collector-centred overnumbered signature edition, which are shown below (the regular version has since been revealed).

Vi, Piltover Enforcer, is a Legend that can straddle the zone at the beginning of a game, and she gives the player’s domain identity the colours Red and Yellow (or Fury and Order). Her ability doesn’t cordially use any of the new mechanics introduced in Riftbound Unleashed, but her ability can be tacked onto both previous sets and used in conjunction with the new mechanics hitting the table with Unleashed on May 8.
In our Riftbound review, we said, “League of Legends: Riftbound proves it’s far more than a gimmicky spin-off and holds its own as a full-fledged TCG,” due to its card design choices that lean into previous designs, and the team-up of Riot Games and UVS Games continues to meet that standard with their latest Legend.

The previously revealed (by the 2XKO team on TikTok) Vi, Hotheaded champion unit — a notable chosen champion option — deploys the missing from Spiritforged (but present in Origins) keyword, Deflect, and allows players to double her might for a cost. The Riftbound Spiritforged expansion also brought equipment to the tabletops of Riftbound, and each of the equipment introduced can work in tandem with the new Vi, Piltover Enforcer and Hotheaded cards, making this deck a potential powerhouse in the making. Riot and UVS Games are catering to the previously released sets to flesh out card designs and builds in Unleashed, just like Spiritforged.
Equipment like Spiritforged‘s B.F. Sword can be dropped onto Vi, Hotheaded, and she can then have her might further doubled using her ability, and then proceed to conquer a battlefield with a staggering 12 might, which will allow Vi, Piltover Enforcer, to activate if the defenders have a might of nine or less, which can let players ready their champion Vi, Hotheaded once more for battlefield antics.
Riftbound Unleashed New Keywords, Abilities, and Effects!

Riftbound Unleashed has also confirmed more new mechanics for tabletops when the set drops, and has already confirmed the set will include previous mechanics (like Deflect). Some of them include:
Ambush – A keyword that allows a player to play the unit anytime they can normally play a reaction, as long as the unit is played onto a battlefield that already has units you control holding.
XP – This new mechanic uses a stored currency called XP, and players can then spend that XP to activate effects. Poppy, Keeper of the Hammer, allows players to draw a card for three XP. Kha’Zix, Voidreaver, on the other hand, is a Legend that uses two separate XP abilities to dominate opponents.

Hunt – When a unit with this keyword conquers or holds a battlefield, the player gains an XP (which can be paid for abilities).
Level – Another new mechanic that uses your total XP stockpile to determine level. If a card has “Level 3” on it, that means a player needs at least three XP stored to observe that ability.
Token Battlefields – These are new battlefields that enter when certain units are put into play. They follow their own rules when they enter, like the battlefield token, Baron Pit, pictured above.
League of Legends: Riftbound Unleashed hits tabletops and stores on May 8, so fans can jump into all of the action then. In the meantime, Riot Games will be adding every spoiler revealed to its full art page for the new set, so fans have a nifty gallery of what has been shown so far and something to check out every so often until the set is, for lack of better words, Unleashed.
