Rumour: Call Of Duty X Halo Crossover Almost Manifisted

According to multiple sources, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 was set to collaborate with Halo but was cancelled for unknown reasons.

First reported by Videogamer, a Twitter User named The Ghost of Hope, who has a reputation for accurately revealing unannounced Call of Duty information many times, has detailed that the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Halo collaboration was set in motion but was cancelled without any reasoning. Without the details as to why it was cancelled, some started to theorize that it could be coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.

In the tweet detailing the news, The Ghost of Hope shared an image where Master Chief could be seen in the Call of Duty menu, though it’s unclear whether it’s a mock-up or an actual screenshot. Based on the picture and circulating rumors, it was speculated that the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 X Halo collaboration might have allowed players to receive legendary items such as Master Chief as a playable character, the iconic Energy Sword, and his trusty assault rifle. However, with the collaboration’s cancellation, these possibilities remain uncertain.

With the Call of Duty X Halo collaboration being cancelled without explanation, some speculate that the DLC bundle intended for Modern Warfare 3 may instead be coming to Black Ops 6. However, this remains purely a theory with no concrete evidence, so it’s best to take it with a grain of salt. That said, the idea isn’t entirely far-fetched, as both Call of Duty and Halo are owned by Microsoft. Earlier this year, Fallout did a crossover with Call of Duty, and Halo has previously collaborated outside of Microsoft games, such as with Fortnite from Epic Games.

With the rumours being shared, wouldn’t it be cool if the Call of Duty X Halo crossover had manifested and fulfilled many childhood dreams? As we ponder about the possibilities, Halo fans can check out the Xbox blog post as they share the details about the future of the Halo series.
