Rumoured specs on the upcoming launch of the iPhone SE 4 seemed to have leaked, offering a preview of its potential capabilities.
Apple iPhone users will be excited to know that the launch of the upcoming iPhone SE 4 is expected sometime this week, with all details to be revealed then. However, there may have been a leak regarding the final specs of the new iPhone. The supposed leaks detail chip information, camera quality, and the expected price, among other features. Multiple social media posts have been sharing the details gathered from these leaks.
On Twitter/X, @ZONEofTECH dropped a list of specs that may be coming with the release of the iPhone SE 4. Here is the list of the expected spec talking points for the new iPhone. Most of them corroborated what GSMArena’s unofficial page on the new device has too:
- New iPhone 14-style design
- A18 Chip with 8GB of RAM (from A15 with 4GB)
- Apple Intelligence
- 6.1” OLED Display (from 4.7” LCD)
- 1200 nits Peak Brightness (from 625 nits)
- 48MP Main Camera (from 12MP)
- 12MP Front Camera (from 7MP)
- FaceID (from TouchID)
- USB-C (from Lighting)
- 128GB of Storage (from 64GB)
- Bluetooth 5.3 (from 5.0)
- Ultra Wideband Chip
- Larger ~3280mAh Battery (from 2018mAh)
- MagSafe Support
- Price ~ $499 (from $429)

While this can all be taken lightly, these details are on-brand with the current generation of other smartphones. The camera specs are fairly tame, so maybe this could be where the leaks may differ from the final product. Internet denizens were quick to point out they would rather “keep their 108 MP phone” for now.
However, a higher megapixel count does not necessarily translate to better image quality overall. Lens quality, sensor size, and image processing play a much bigger role in determining the true quality of a photograph. Additionally, a higher-quality camera would put this closer to the base iPhone 17. Having some differences in different phone tiers is important to Apple’s phone offerings.
So far, the design of the phone seems to be the most under wraps detail and most talked-about note from the leaks. Many other sources claim the iPhone SE 4 may have a design similar to the iPhone 14, which was the last iPhone to have a notch. Some noted that it may also have thinner bezels.
Other points of interest had to do with Apple Intelligence features. The iPhone SE 4 is expected to support AI-powered features like summarizing text, erasing objects from photos, and a new version of Siri. This will all be made possible with a likely Apple-made 5G chip and modem. And as per usual, the battery life should be better with more efficient power management features.
Nothing is certain about the iPhone SE 4, but Mark Gurman from Bloomberg seems to confirm that the announcement launch should be coming this week. Strangely enough, Gurman pointed out that it is strange that there is no event scheduled for the release of the next SE phone. Instead, it appears that Apple will be posting a press release on the Apple Newsroom Website. For phone consumers who have been anticipating this new device, it seems like a questionable move.
We will all just have to wait and see throughout the week. Be sure to check back in on CGMagazine to get the full details on the iPhone SE 4 as they drop.
