SAN Sound, developer of spatial gaming earbuds, has opened its early signup today for the new SANWEAR HARDWIRE Gaming Earbuds.
This is something you won’t want to sleep on, as the release will be in small batches, which translates to first-come, first-served. With an MSRP of $99 USD, the SANWEAR HARDWIRE Gaming Earbuds promise the next evolution of wired earbuds designed for gamers. Equipped with Planar-Dynamic Drivers, onboard amplifier and DAC pushing for full spatial audio, these aren’t your grand pappy’s earbuds.

With an array of hi-fi-equipped wireless earbuds on their resume, SAN Sound is aiming to push the boundaries of what is possible with wired earbuds. From its digital signal processor to the built-in ENC microphone system, the SANWEAR HARDWIRE Gaming Earbuds come with a host of interchangeable earbud ends to ensure you have the perfect fit every time.
Having spent the past couple of weeks testing them, I can confirm that the audio profile is quite impressive. The drivers offer an interesting pairing of the focused audio experience of Planar Magnetic drivers with the wider range of a dynamic driver. This hybrid driver, as SAN Sound calls it, provides a nice balance of both drivers’ biggest strengths.
The result is a warmer tone with rich, deep bass without overwhelming the mids and highs. For games, they are a nice alternative to bulky headphones while still offering a fairly well-rounded audio experience. While it did take a few swappings of earbud tips to find the right fit, the HARDWIRE Gaming Earbuds fit quite well and comfortably in place.

I’ve also appreciated that they leverage a digital, USB-C connection, opening up the possible device connections considerably. The built-in DAC is a wonderful addition, allowing earbuds to drive a crisp, clear and impressively loud audio experience. When all brought together, the SANWEAR HARDWIRE Gaming Earbuds offer a wonderful entry point to higher-quality audio without the higher price point.
With an impressive design and solid implementation, the SANWEAR HARDWIRE Gaming Earbuds are worth considering. So hurry over to the official site and get in on the early signups. If you can’t wait, be sure to check out some of our other gaming-worthy earbud reviews.
