A new Silent Hill f trailer at gamescom 2025 Opening Night Live showed more cinematic footage, but with the English VO. The English dub for protagonist Hinako will be voiced by Suzie Yeung, Final Fantasy 7 Remake’s Yuffie. This new world premiere trailer contained more spooky content with soulslike combat and its terrifying backdrop based on Japanese folklore.

The trailer opened with Hinako waking up in a dark room. As shewandered through the shrine-like area, she follows a figure with a blue lamp deeper into the area. She is then attacked by the freaky dolls shown in the opening footage of the game that we saw at Anime Expo 2025. The trailer cut to another scene of an old house on a rainy day, resembling Hinako’s house. With her clothes torn, Hinako see’s one of her classmates, telling her to “just die.” While this was not much more to go on for the story, I think we can agree we have seen enough. This is a 1960s Japan spookier than ever!

As is known, Silent Hill f is a standalone spin-off of the Silent Hill series from developer NeoBards, coming to PlayStation 5 on September 25. The story begins when Hinako leaves her home to escape from her upset father. Silent Hill f utilizes the same over-the-shoulder perspective as Bloober Team’s 2024 Silent Hill 2 remake, allowing players to move the camera with the right analog stick. Sharing a similar perspective to Hinako adds to the immersion and tension of the game. When you look around the forest surrounding her, you become acutely aware of the danger closing in and feel the overwhelming sense of isolation and entrapment.
