Qualcomm Technologies revealed two brand new Snapdragon processors that will take high-end PCs to the next level.

Unveiled during the Snapdragon Summit 2025 keynote, the Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme and Snapdragon X2 Elite are the fastest, most powerful and efficient processors for Windows PCs—boasting superior performance, multi-day battery life and groundbreaking AI integration.

Featuring the best-in-class 3rd Gen Qualcomm Oryon CPU, Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme provides the fastest and most power-efficient performance for Windows—up to 75 percent faster CPU performance than the competition at ISO power. A new Qualcomm Adreno GPU architecture offers a 2.3 times increase in performance per watt and power efficiency over the previous generation.

Snapdragon X2 Elite also features a massive 80 TOPS NPU—with 78% more TOPS (INT8) than the previous generation. Leaning into Qualcomm’s leveraging of agentic AI, the Hexagon NPU can run effortlessly run AI experiences from intelligent content creation to the latest large language models that power on-device AI agents.

Snapdragon X2 Elite takes advantage of the new Qualcomm Oryon Prime Core architecture for powerful performance. The prime core on Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme is the first ARM-compatible CPU to reach 5.0 GHz for almost instant responsiveness and blisteringly fast speeds. Snapdragon X2 Elite pairs its prime cores with enhanced Qualcomm Oryon Performance cores. They are tuned to provide premium responsiveness and user experiences in everyday workloads with extreme power efficiency.

Not only that, but the Snapdragon X2 Elite uses Snapdragon X2 Elite introduces a new out-of-band management feature called Snapdragon Guardian Technology. This new subsystem combines hardware, software, and cloud services and pairs it with Wi-Fi and 5G connectivity so businesses and end users can manage, find, lock, and wipe their PC from virtually anywhere.
