Star Wars Outlaws Deploys 4th Title Update, Fixing Big Issues Fans Have Faced

On Thursday, Ubisoft released a slew of patch notes for their massive Star Wars Outlaws 4th title update, and it corrects issues fans have had with the gameplay experience.

Ubisoft has opened the doors for their Star Wars Outlaws 1.40 update, and with this being the biggest title update since launch, Ubisoft has aimed to correct many issues players have faced (and made note of on the internet) with the general gameplay experience. The developers over at Massive Entertainment have had their hands full since Star Wars Outlaws launched with four big updates launching for their first open-world Star Wars game, and it has been available for three months.

Some of the bigger improvements noted by Ubisoft include a controversial element that forced players into stealth mode during certain missions featuring the objective “do not raise the alarm”. This will no longer be the case, as Ubisoft has pointed out “Notable updates to stealth and combat that allow players greater choice, including using stealth or reaching for their blaster, even in syndicate territories in cities” allowing players to escape the painful ‘return to checkpoint’ after these “do not get caught segments”.

Further improvements have been made to the stealth aspect of Star Wars Outlaws, letting players choose whether to remain in stealth after alerting an enemy or not. Improvements have also been made to enemy AI, improving their ability to spot the player while committing to stealth. One of the bigger improvements adds enemy weak spots to Star Wars Outlaws, allowing fans to exploit these with an added layer of “strategic gameplay”. Other base-level improvements include fixed facial expressions and heavier attention to detail during dialogue sections.

Fans can head to the official Ubisoft website for the massive list of other improvements, but fans can rest easy knowing developers are still working to fix issues plaguing Star Wars Outlaws.
