Starfield PS5 Release Date Leaks Ahead of Official Announcement

Now Docking In PS5

Starfield Is Happening For PS, and It's Release Date Allegedly Leaked

With the recent change in executives at Xbox, fans have continued to speculate that a Starfield PS5 port is in the works, and a new leak apparently confirms it is coming to Sony’s console.

Since other former console exclusives, such as Forza Horizon 6, Gears of War and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, another Bethesda title, were announced for PS5, it seemed only a matter of time before Starfield made the jump to PlayStation. According to a new leak from reliable leaker billbil-kun of Dealabs, Starfield will release on PS5 on April 7 and will have a physical edition launching alongside it.

Starfield Character Artist Goes Into Detail About The Absence Of Gore

Last month, in an interview with Kinda Funny Games, Bethesda Studio Head Todd Howard talked about what’s coming to Starfield. Howard says, “Obviously, we’ve been working on a lot of Starfield content. I can tell everybody we are going to be talking about [the new content] really soon,” adding, “We’re moving into a phase where we’re ready to talk about Starfield. And really show that in the right way, and what’s coming to the game. We’ve been doing a lot of work that we like a lot.” It appears that a PS5 port will launch sooner than expected (though the content update is still scheduled for “soon”).

The upcoming update is said to bring features fans will love to the space-faring adventure, but Howard says if fans didn’t mesh with the original title, that fundamental feeling will likely not change with the update. Unlike Cyberpunk 2077, the new content and feature update will not give Starfield a 2.0 version, according to Howard, and it won’t be like the Shattered Space expansion.

Starfield Is Happening For PS, and It's Release Date Allegedly Leaked

If the Dealabs-leaked release date is true, Bethesda’s ‘Skyrim in space’ launches on PlayStation over two years after it debuted on Xbox and PC in 2023. While Dealabs regularly provides leaks that prove to be true, Bethesda or PlayStation haven’t made an official announcement regarding Starfield yet, so the leak should be taken with caution until it is corroborated.
