In less than two weeks since its global launch, State of Decay 2 has reached over two million players.
While the first State of Decay game sold over 4.5 million copies, the sequel is living up to its high expectations with the already numerous player base. The data and trends show this, too. Survivors have not only destroyed about two billion zombies but also created epic survival tales with their friends. Over 121,000 community stories have been completed so far, while new communities have been starting up with the new map.
“This shows an incredible commitment to the game and we’re excited so many of you are enjoying the rich survival experience that State of Decay 2 offers,” wrote Aaron Greenberg, the general manager of Xbox Games Marketing.
With its large amount of players, the State of Decay 2 has also been working on key fixes, tune-ups in gameplay, as well as quality of life improvements. “We are always listening to our fans to improve the game experience, and we will continue to bring updates and additional content as you explore all that State of Decay 2 has to offer,” Greenberg wrote.
State of Decay 2 is an open-world zombie survival game, where players must fight their way through unforgiving foes while building a community of survivors. Players get to establish their own base, develop the abilities of their characters, and manage resources. Choices matter in this game of survival as well, since every decision has consequences.
Civilization has fallen, the dead have risen, and survival is paramount, and players old and new can join in on the post-apocalyptic community of survivors to have even more action-packed adventures.
