Friday, the Xbox Games Showcase at TGS 2024 announced that games from the Mana series and FINAL FANTASY pixel remaster are now available on Xbox.
The Xbox Games Showcase aired today at the Tokyo Game Show 2024 (TGS 2024) and featured some big reveals for fans. While Xbox also announced that StarCraft: Remastered and the StarCraft 2: Campaign Collection are landing on Xbox Game Pass for PC on November 5, they also revealed exciting titles coming to the home console system for the first time. On the Xbox console platform, players can now experience the FINAL FANTASY pixel remaster, Legend of Mana, and Trials of Mana.

For the uninitiated, the FINAL FANTASY pixel remaster is a collection of games from FINAL FANTASY through FINAL FANTASY VI, allowing fans to start the adventure from the first entry in the series. Now, every entry in the FINAL FANTASY franchise from one to FINAL FANTASY XV can be played on the Xbox platform.
The TGS 2024 announcement also revealed that Legend of Mana and Trials of Mana are now playable on Xbox, with both titles available through Xbox Game Pass. This marks a significant turning point for Square Enix, as these three titles were previously only available on PlayStation and Nintendo Switch platforms. A trailer celebrating the remaster release at TGS 2024 can be seen below.
All remaster improvements made for the Nintendo Switch versions of the FINAL FANTASY pixel remaster will be available on Xbox. Players can switch between the rearranged and original soundtracks, as intended in the original release, and choose between in-game fonts—either the default remastered font or a pixel-based font as a callback to the series’ roots.
