Atari and Digital Eclipse today revealed The Disney Afternoon Collection, a compilation of ’80s and ’90s titles that will launch exclusively on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
Fans will soon be able to play some of Disney’s most memorable video game titles on the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 consoles, with The Disney Afternoon Collection. This compilation reintroduces eight classic Disney NES and SNES titles to gamers everywhere, who may want to relive the glory days or introduce the classics to a new generation. The updated collection (exclusive to Switch and Switch 2) adds two new titles, bringing the total to eight Disney-themed classic games on Nintendo consoles for the first time since their original NES and SNES releases in the 80s and 90s. A trailer has been released with the announcement, and it can be seen below.
Players can relive these classics with a suite of modern upgrades, a signature of Digital Eclipse in The Disney Afternoon Collection. These features include the ability to rewind to correct mistakes and save your progress anywhere (also featured in the Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection). The collection also features a Gallery, a virtual museum curated by the Digital Eclipse historians, content from the Disney vault, and a Music Player where fans can listen to the beats from all eight games. The six NES games bring Time Attack and Boss Rush speed-running modes with online leaderboards. The whole lineup of titles is listed below (and the platforms they originally released on).
- Goof Troop (SNES)
- Bonkers (SNES)
- DuckTales & DuckTales 2 (NES)
- Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers & Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers 2 (NES)
- TaleSpin (NES)
- Darkwing Duck (NES)

The Disney Afternoon Collection will be available digitally on February 26, and the physical Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 editions will ship in May. More information on the new compilation can be found on the Atari website.
