Every year on April Fools’ Day, we get inundated with so many jokes about wild things that didn’t really happen. Here are some of our favourites from April Fools 2026.
Perhaps the most outlandish April Fools joke out there right now is CD Projekt Red’s new R.O.A.C.H controller. Standing for Ride On A Controller Horse, it is, of course, just a horse head on a stick. CD Projekt Red says that the controller has been tested for years before they chose to reveal it today, promising that it will guarantee that Roach will never stray from the path again.
Any fan of Elgato knows that they are always doing something more with their tech, like their capture cards or their famous Stream Deck. But now they have made the perfect addition to the Stream Deck, the Stream Deck + Lever. The engineers at Elgato have supposedly spent six months designing this complete innovation of technology. Users can use the lever to start their stream, turn on lights, or just use the newly released slot machine software on the Elgato marketplace to spin and hopefully win.
Pragmata is coming up fast with its release date of April 17th, and fans have continued to theorize that it is set in the Mega Man universe. It seems like this theory prompted the official X account to make a post where the main character is wearing a comically accurate Mega Man suit.
PlayStation also had its own April Fools joke that was published by IGN early today, featuring a brand-new controller called Playmo. The controller is designed to help you get better at the game you are playing. For instance, if you need help in Gran Turismo 7, just say you need assistance, and Playmo will kick in and take over the game to show you what you are doing wrong. It’s so amazing that it can even order a pizza to your house just by saying a few words, what an innovation.
Lords Of The Fallen has taken a different direction by trying to make the play experience more immersive than it ever has been. They have introduced helmet vision, a revolutionary change in game design that truly makes you feel like you are wearing a helmet. For those who can’t appreciate complete game immersion, the option to push the visor up is available.
These five joes are but a smattering of just how many April Fools day jokes are out there right now. See how many you can find.
