On Thursday, The Game Awards 2025 awards ceremony unleashed a deluge of news and developments in the gaming industry, and CGMagazine has compiled it all in one spot for reader convenience.

Last year, fans got incredible first looks at The Witcher 4, the premiere announcement of the now-released Shadow Labyrinth, and the gratuitous use of puppetry even made headlines for making fun of The Game Awards 2025’s resident host, Geoff Keighley. This year, fans were treated to surprise new looks at titles like Saros and EXODUS, while new announcements like Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons have made headlines as debut titles from fresh studios.

The Game Awards 2025 – Opening Act
The Free Shepherd
Starting off the Game Awards 2025 is an indie game titled The Free Shepherd, where you play as a lovely canine companion with the important mission of herding sheep. Run fast and free as a sheepdog in a beautiful but troubled world, and herd masses of lost sheep to a secret refuge. Discover a mysterious calamity that only you can stop in The Free Shepherd. It’s coming in 2027.
Decrepit
A new first-person soulslike is coming, and Decrepit demands players break the curse. Like other Soulslike titles, Decrepit will have death as a feature, and it can be wishlisted now on Steam.
Audiomech
From the creator of AudioSurf comes another title where players need to do battle against – and with – the music. AUDIOMECH is created by Dylan Fitterer, and a demo will be available tomorrow on Steam.
Pragmata
A new look was given to CAPCOM’s enigmatic title, Pragmata, and fans were treated to a deeper look at the co-dependent relationship the two protagonists will foster when playing the new sci-fi title. Pragmata launches on April 24, 2026, and it will be available for the Nintendo Switch 2.
Bradley The Badger
The developers at Day 4 Night have brought a new puzzle/platforming title to fans, and as the last Badger, you will have to make it through biomes with trash heaps and solve puzzles to make it further in the newly revealed title. Evan Peters plays Bradley in Bradley the Badger, giving a human face to a very inhuman Badger.
Stupid Never Dies
The last reveal for the Opening Act at The Game Awards 2025 is a newly revealed zombie survival action adventure from GPTrack50 titled Stupid Never Dies. Developed by the makers of action-adventure titles like Devil May Cry, it’s coming in 2026.

Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic
The first announcement of the main show at The Game Awards 2025 is a world premiere for the new title, Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic. It’s a brand-new single-player action RPG set in the Old Republic era of Star Wars, developed by Arcanaut Studios in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games.
Divinity
The secret behind the demonic door that has been the talk of many headlines leading up to The Game Awards 2025 has finally pulled back the curtain to reveal the next title in Lariaan Studios’ Divinity franchise, titled Divinity. The door everyone was talking about? It’s called the Hellstone, and more will be shared in the future.
South of Midnight Wins Games For Impact, And It Is Coming To PlayStation 5 & Nintendo Switch 2!
4:LOOP
The next title coming from Bad Robot games (and J.J. Abrams) announced at The Game Awards 2025 is a new co-op game from the makers of Left 4 Dead, a sandbox title called 4:LOOP. 4:LOOP a four-player co-op shooter set in an original sci-fi universe.
Coven of the Chicken Foot
A new puzzle title where you play as a small, chicken legged granny has players solve puzzles with their big, frog-like companion. Players can wishlist now.
Ontos
From the creators of Soma at Fractional Games comes a new sci-fi title called Ontos. What begins as a search for answers quickly spirals into something far stranger, and as players delve deeper (guided by fragments of your father’s past) you must confront disturbing revelations about the nature of reality- and your place in it.
Zenless Zone Zero Reveals The First Dual-Form Agent, Ye Shunguang!
Resident Evil Requiem
A fresh look has been given to the latest title in CAPCOM’s Resident Evil franchise, Resident Evil Requiem, and aside from a police officer literally spitting out molars, it’s clear the new title will inspire fear. The previous PlayStation Store leak proved true, Leon S. Kennedy is in Requiem, and he’s playable.
Order Of The Sinking Star
A project that has been ten years in the making is a new title from Jonathan Blow (the maker of Braid), and it features grid-based puzzle solving. Order of the Sinking Star has over 1400 puzzles and a big story to uncover.
EXODUS
One of the more welcome surprises shown at The Game Awards 2025 is the joint announcement from Wizards of the Coast (yes, the makers of Magic: The Gathering) and Archetype Entertainment that EXODUS is coming in 2027 with a new trailer.
Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons
Developed by Invoke Studios, the new Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons title revealed at The Game Awards 2025 puts players in the role of Kaatri, a veteran warrior who makes a pact to wield otherworldly magic against dark powers. As any D&D Warlock would have done to gain their powers. The team at Invoke was more concerned with making an immersive world title, not just catering to D&D, while developing Warlock. More information is coming soon, and it will be released sometime in 2027.
Control Resonant
The next title in the Control series from Remedy Entertainment was revealed, and the extension of Jesse Faden’s story will continue in Control Resonant. This time, players will embody a new character, and can unleash the powers of Dylan Faden as he fights for his humanity and survival against a reality-bending cosmic threat. It’s coming in 2026.
Gang of Dragon
A new title from Nagoshi Studio then took the stage at The Game Awards 2025. A highly anticipated new game from former Yakuza (Like a Dragon) series director Toshihiro Nagoshi’s new studio.
Street Fighter
A new trailer for the live-action Street Fighter film was then shown, showcasing the revealed cast as their character counterparts, who then took the stage to pose for the audience.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight
Embrace your duty to watch over Gotham City through every era of (LEGO) Batman’s career. Crammed to the brim with nostalgia, Batman lore, and LEGO absurdity, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight comes to PC, Xbox, and PS5 on May 29, 2026 (with Nintendo Switch 2 to be announced later).
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis & Tomb Raider: Catalyst
The previously leaked announcement for the next title in the Tomb Raider series then happened at the Game Awards 2025, and the next title (or titles) are called Tomb Raider Catalyst (coming in 2027), oh and Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is ALSO coming in 2026.
Forest 3
Endnight Games showed up for The Game Awards 2025 with an unexpected announcement: Forest 3 is coming, and fans should be prepared for atmospheric horror when it arrives sometime in the near future.
Invincible VS
Robert Kirkman then took the stage to give Invincible VS a fresh look, and the new character hero Elementol has been shown off along with her fiery power. It’s coming in April 2026.
Orbitals
A new Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive was then revealed at The Game Awards 2025, and it features space ships and local co-op. In Orbitals, fans will need to work together to overcome obstacles in Orbitals when it arrives in 2026.
Diablo IV – Lord of Hatred
The next big expansion coming to Sanctuary in Diablo IV brings the newest adversary to crawl out of hell, the Primeval Lord of Hatred himself, Mephisto. The Paladin class and the Lord of Hatred are taking over Diablo IV in April 2026.
Marvel Rivals
Deadpool is coming to Marvel Rivals, and he’s entering the fray as a character in January 2026.
007: First Light – A New Bond Villain Emerges
The first look at the main antagonist for James Bond in 007: First Light has finally been revealed, being played by the musician Lenny Kravitz (and his first foray into video games), Bond’s villain is Bawma. Players will confront Bawma when 007: First Light hits PC and consoles on March 27, 2026.
Hogwarts Legacy is FREE on Epic Games NOW!

Lords of the Fallen 2
The first-ever gameplay reveal has been uncovered for CI Games’ sequel, Lords of the Fallen 2, and one thing is for certain: the brutality and hard difficulty will pick up right where it left off when Lords of the Fallen 2 launches in 2026.
Saros
A new story trailer was then provided for the anticipated title from House Marque, Saros, and it appears the stakes continue to rise as we inch closer to the April 30, 2026 release.
No Law
The next world premiere revealed at The Game Awards 2025 is a title called No Law, and like its name, the player will follow no laws. In this first-person shooter from KRAFTON, fans can shoot and fight criminals on the streets, and they can wishlist it on Steam now.

Phasmaphobia is coming to Nintendo Switch 2!
The horror title that has a cold grip on fans’ fears, Phasmaphobia, is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 console in 2026.
Total War: Warhammer 40K
Actor David Harbour (Stranger Things) then took the stage to announce Total War is heading to the grimdark universe of Warhammer 40K. David Harbour also revealed he’s coming to the game in Total War, alongside Orks, Astardes warriors, and Space Marines. Experience the brutal fusion of galactic strategy and visceral real-time battles in Total War: Warhammer 40,000, when it arrives at a TBD date coming soon.
Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve
The next title published by Bandai Namco returns players to the skies, in a new entry in the Ace Combat series, Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve. After a six-year hiatus, fans can return to the skies soon at a TBD date.
Star Wars: Galactic Racer
A new racing title was then revealed from Lucasfilm Games, and it’s another Star Wars title that features Podracing as the main feature. With the Empire gone and the galaxy rebuilding, the Galactic League is formed. The Galactic League is an underground, unsanctioned circuit where syndicates bankroll chaos and champions are forged. Star Wars: Galactic Racer is coming in 2026.
Out of Words
The next game published by Epic Games features a handcrafted 2.5D adventure for two called Out of Words. Fans can team up and play couch co-op style when it’s released sometime in 2026.
Phantom Blade Zero
The next world premiere at The Game Awards 2025 featured a masked figure holding an infant, while cutting through mysterious, unnamed adversaries. A new action-adventure title from S-Game, Phantom Blade Zero, is coming to console and PC. S-Game pulled back the curtain to give fans a new look at what’s to come in Phantom Blade Zero when it launches on September 9, 2026.
Megaman: Dual Override
A new Mega Man was then surprisingly announced at The Game Awards 2025, and it’s called Megaman: Dual Override. Although the preview was brief, it exists, and it’s coming in 2027.
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie
Another new look was given to the Super Mario Galaxy Movie, and it featured Luigi hitting Bowser Jr. with a flying knee, funny antics, and that trademark Illumination production quality. The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is coming in April 2026.
High Guard
For the final world premiere at The Game Awards 2025, a new shooter called High Guard by Wildlight Entertainment took the stage. From the makers of Apex Legends and Titanfall, comes this new breed of FPS that features machine guns on horseback. Highguard is a free-to-play title coming on January 26, 2026.
