Pragmata looks to combine intense action platforming with third-person shooting. In a mix of intense shootouts in tight environments and colossal battles in half-destroyed cities. Players will control two characters: a soldier named Hugh and a little girl named Diana. Combining their unique abilities, players will hack through enemy robots’ armour so Hugh can destroy them with a mixture of guns and melee abilities.

The trailer also showcased a clear emotional connection between the two, as Hugh tells Diana a bit about his life on Earth before whatever cataclysm led to the downfall of the Lunar base where the game is set. Several moments within the trailer showed Hugh fighting hard to protect Diana, suggesting the game will lean heavily on the parental themes made popular by games like The Last of Us and God of War 2016.

Pragmata was initially announced on June 11th, 2020, during Sony Interactive Entertainment’s PlayStation 5 reveal stream. Pre-orders for the game are now available, alongside a new playable demo is now available on Steam. A playable demo for consoles will be made available at a later date. Pragmata will also feature a Deluxe Edition alongside the Standard Edition.
