Celebrating the beloved series 25th anniversary, Ubisoft has launched the Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands: Last Rites Update, featuring a 4K 60FPS patch, new missions, and more.
Returning to Bolivia once again, Ubisoft held a showcase about what fans can expect during the Ghost Recon 25th anniversary, with the arrival of Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands’ latest free update, Last Rites. Available today, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands: Last Rites includes many features for players to anticipate, including a 4K 60FPS patch, new story missions, the return of the Predator mission, and more.
Launched in March 2017, players take on the role of Ghost in Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands, set in Bolivia in the near future, overrun by a ruthless drug cartel. As players lead an elite team of soldiers and coordinate raids against the cartel, the open-world shooter features weapons and gear customization, 60+ vehicles to travel the land, sea, and air, the ability to create a team with up to three friends, and a PvP 4v4 Ghost War mode to compete against other players.
Following the title’s last update in July 2019, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands: Last Rites introduces a new mission for players to partake in. Travelling through dangerous swamps and dense forest, players will face a new threat named La Llorona, the leader of the Los Penitentes cult, united by faith, sacrifice, and savage justice. With a cult that is devoted and has nothing to lose, La Llorona embarks on a path to redemption while seeking revenge against the cartels, the CIA, and Unidad for making her suffer.
Alongside the new terrifying mission, new and returning players can anticipate many upcoming quality-of-life features that will be arriving in Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands: Last Rites. The latest features arriving in the title are:
- Graphical Update – 4K 60FPS patch on current-gen consoles and PC.
- Ghost Parameter – Players can adjust the weapon reloading mode, primary weapons count, revive settings, and HUDs to craft an immersive experience.
- Adjustable difficulty system – Players can tweak the difficulty setting, enemy firepower, vehicle breakability, enemy endurance, friendly fire, enemy perception, and health regeneration delay.
- World and Session Settings – Players can adjust the weather, time of day, alarms, and more to replay missions in various scenarios.
- Predator mission – The Predator mission returns, pitting players against the devastating Predator that lurks in the jungle.
- New customization items – Hundreds of in-game items are available for players to access, including no longer obtainable rewards, unreleased camos, previously exclusive Mercenaries Mode items, new 25th anniversary items, and much more.
- PlayStation Plus Bonus – Exclusive to PlayStation Plus users, players can unlock Last Rites content inspired by the new antagonist, La Llorona.
Alongside the list of perks arriving in Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands, the team has announced the Ghost Recon Insider Program, which gives fans early access to closed tests. Participating in the closed test will ensure the beta feature is balanced, optimized, and tuned through the players’ feedback.
