Turbo Overkill: Ultimate Edition Has Surprisingly Launched For Console And PC!

Renowned publisher Apogee Entertainment — best known for Duke NukemPrey, and Max Payne — in partnership with developer Trigger Happy Interactive, proudly releases Turbo Overkill: Ultimate Edition as a complete surprise, and it’s out today.

Today’s surprise launch of Turbo Overkill: Ultimate Edition serves as both a return to the FPS genre for Apogee Entertainment and a celebration of the game’s legacy. The Ultimate Edition also comes with a massive (and FREE) quality-of-life update for all players across platforms, bringing a host of player-requested improvements. These include: highly requested controller configurations for those playing on consoles or PC, gyro controller support for the PlayStation 5, and additional adaptive trigger support for the PlayStation 5’s DualSense wireless controller. The launch trailer for consoles can be seen below, in case fans have missed it.

The Turbo Overkill: Ultimate Edition also includes a 140-page art book with a soundtrack sampler included. To coincide with the launch (and celebrations), the digital comic that dives into the lore and story beats surrounding Overkill, Turbo Overkill: Original Syn, is included with the Ultimate Edition free of charge. The comic serves as a prequel that dives deeper into Johnny Turbo’s backstory and provides additional context around each enemy’s motives.
