Newest Valorant Agent, Fade, Reveals Herself With Shadowy Powers

The latest Valorant agent, Fade is a hunter who’s in touch with some deadly-looking shadows.

Her name is Fade, and it seems like her abilities allow her to reveal her enemies’ locations. She was revealed on Sunday during the finals of Valorant’s Masters Reykjavik tournament. Fade is coming to the game as part of Episode 4 Act 3, which should be released next week. The reveal trailer can be viewed below.

Fades abilities focus on finding enemy players and either blinding them or keeping them in place once she does. One of her skills is a ball of shadows that allows her to near-sight players, while another creates a small circle on the ground that will keep them tethered if they get too close. Fade also has a recon ability that will spot players and draw to their location, while her Ultimate does a similar thing across a large section of the map. The Fade gameplay reveal trailer can be viewed below.

As for what her abilities are specifically, Haunt equips a nightmarish entity that fires an orb that plummets to the ground after a set amount of time. Upon hitting the ground the orb will turn into a nightmarish entity and will reveal the location of enemies in its line of sight. Seize, equips an orb of nightmare ink that fires the orb and once it plummets to the ground, it will explode and create a zone in which enemies who are caught in it won’t be able to escape the zone by any normal means.

If the player equips a prowler, a prowler will be sent out causing it to travel in a straight line. It will lock onto any enemies or trails in their frontal vision cone and chase them. Lastly, Nightfall, equips the power of fear. Fire the ability to send out a wave of nightmare energy that can traverse through walls. The energy creates a trail opponent that defeans and decays other players.

For those looking to try Fade out, Valorant is free-to-play on PC. The game has a monthly total of 15 million players in 2022.
