Warhammer Classics Is Bringing Over 20 Old Warhammer Games To Steam

The publisher SNEG has teamed up with Games Workshop and its own developer and publisher partners to unveil Warhammer Classics, a collection of Warhammer games lost to old hardware.

These developers have continued their efforts to preserve old games through Warhammer Classics, which is bringing back 27 games that were released many years ago. All of these games are, of course, Warhammer themed, but many of them have been trapped on old hardware or are unplayable through a series of technological challenges. Warhammer Classics changes that by bringing all of these games to a future-proofed Steam page. After they launch, they will be discounted and have curated bundles for one week only.

Each title has been remastered for modern hardware while still keeping the original quality and gameplay experience that past and present fans have loved. The collection is meant to help old fans revisit what they once loved and to bring in new fans who are curious about the number of old games that have been released anew.

Warhammer Classics is more than a collection of re-releases. It’s a clear statement of intent: that Warhammer’s foundational games matter, and that they are worth preserving, celebrated, and reintroduced to a global PC audience,”  said Director at SNEG, Oleg Klapovskiy. “With so many titles lost to time and outdated hardware, Warhammer Classics was created to safeguard this legacy for future generations. Warhammer has a long history on PC, and we’re committed to ensuring the platform remains central to its long-term stewardship, giving these games renewed life for years to come.”
