A WB Games Montréal job listing has revealed that another live-service DC Comics title is on the way from Warner Bros., despite Suicide Squad‘s failure.
After developing the critically acclaimed Batman Arkham titles, fans would think the WB Games Montréal development studio can’t miss. That was until Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League flopped. Now the once-reputable studio holds the reins yet again on another DC Comics-based live service experience, according to a new Tech4Gamers‘ report. The report reveals a new job listing for “Executive Producer” at WB Games Montréal, and the listing reveals key details about a role that tells fans what kind of title the developers are working on.

The job listing describes the development role is to “Build and maintain a healthy, scalable production environment that supports long-term success,” which doesn’t necessarily sound like a bad thing, but further down the job description, it gets closer to what could be described as a live service. The job listing further explains that the producer would be required to support post-launch live operations, which could be attributed to post-launch content like DLC development.
But then Warner Bros. mentions the role requires “Oversee post-launch content and live service strategy, ensuring ongoing player engagement” under the ‘Execution and Market Readiness’ needs for the Executive Producer, which mentions live service directly. The role has also revealed the title the potential executive producer would be working on: a “game based on one of the iconic IPs from the vast Warner Bros. and DC Comics catalogue,” confirming that the not-announced-yet title is a live service based on a singular IP from Warner Bros. and DC Comics.

While it may be impossible to figure out which IP WB Games Montréal is working on due to WB’s large amount of intellectual property licenses without an official announcement, it does seem the next title could be very much like Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, as the job listing does coincidentally describe many aspects of that title.
Until an official announcement occurs from WB Games Montréal, fans should take all news surrounding the enigmatic title with a grain of salt.
