In the best (and only) indie game where you play as a car with legs, WHAT THE CAR? has unleashed a new crossover event with Among Us, Car-Mong Us!

WHAT THE CAR? is about to get even more sus. For the uninitiated, WHAT THE CAR? is a 3rd person action-adventure title that sees the protagonist embody their inner four-wheeled automobile, with a long pair of legs included. Players have to race through levels by doing many things not expected of a car, including using jetpacks, climbing buildings, platforming and —probably the craziest task for a car— walking with human-appearing legs. Innersloth’s Among Us has now joined the party, and a new trailer for the crossover event can be seen below courtesy of Triband.

The Car-Mong Us update brings the crewmates of Among Us to the Car universe. Car must help the crewmates with their tasks, which include the usual Among Us mini-game mix of asteroid dodging, wire fixing, and suspect-ejecting. The update also brings a new overworld to WHAT THE CAR? fashioned after The Skeld, the first map to launch in Among Us. Car can also dress to fit in, with unlockable skins based on original crewmate colours.

The update also brings three new races to WHAT THE CAR? for fans to blast through and four mini-games for Car to engage in. The mini-games might seem familiar to Among Us players, considering the new mini-games are modelled after tasks players can find in Among Us. Aside from everything included with the update, Triband has also announced it is FREE to all WHAT THE CAR? players who own the base game.

The WHAT THE CAR? Car-Mong Us update is live now, and fans can dive into the action on PC via Steam and Apple Arcade. Fans can also head to the official website for more information.
