Since its launch in April, Wildgate has been receiving steady updates to enhance its world and balance its gameplay, but now players can look forward to a significant content update.
Announced via press release, Dreamhaven and Moonshot Games will introduce their “Emergence” update to Wildgate on November 19th, 2025. The update will include two new game modes alongside a new Prospector, weapons and equipment, ship, as well as several new features for play.
The “Treasure Hunt” game mode will allow players to enter the Reach, salvage valuable treasure, and escape without getting blown up and what’s described as a “slightly more relaxed experience.” Players will be able to fight AI-controlled ships (the normal videogame kind), complete quests and choose to extract whenever they want, as well as to turn their haul into rewards.
The “Fleet Battle” game mode will pit players against each other in 3v3 battles, where players earn points by blasting their respawning opponents into space dust or by securing multiple Artifacts. Billed as a “fast-paced, low-stakes 3v3 ship combat; the Fleet Battle mode will offer a more combat-oriented experience—something the Moonshot didn’t want Wildgate to prioritize right out the gate.
Then there is the newest Prospector—the Psionic being named Charline. Charlie can instantly revive allies without channelling, teleport to allies within 150 meters, and is healed by cosmic storms, radiation, fire, and shock fields. With a design that looks like a combination of Mass Effect’s Liara and an Axolotl, they’re sure to be a new fan favourite.
Alongside these substantial updates, Wildgate will receive a new two-man crew ship named the Outlaw. It is resistant to boarding and specializes in speed, but will not be available in Fleet Battle mode. Custom Lobbies are also being added, allowing players to host their own Wildgate matches. When playing in Artifact Brawl mode, they can create a lobby, set a few basic options, and invite friends (or rivals)!
Lastly, the Emergence update will introduce the new Dead Worlds Reach Zone. In this perilous new region of the Reach, ice is scarce and danger is everywhere. Players will need to harness vampiric devices to syphon energy from shipwrecks or eerie crimson towers. A new Alien Point-of-Interest will also be added for Artifact Brawl. The Emergence update will also add the new Resonator weapon, medic drone and more.
Wildgate is available for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
