Withings Announces New BodyScan Which Aims To Revolutionize Home Health Monitoring

In 2009, Withings released their own smart scale category and, as we fast-forward to 2022, a new revolutionary device aims to expand on its design, The Body Scan, as announced at CES.

Move over former weight and health monitoring systems, Withings is bringing a brand-new device to not only make home monitoring easier, but it’s also more efficient too.

The new Body Scan features a 6-lead ECG heart rate monitor and is fully able to detail cardiovascular health by age. This is not just an average scale, it expands on the former smart scale that Withings released and kicks it up two full notches. The advanced device will give users access to coaching, clinical specialists, and personalized plans that are easily viewed through their app, in order to achieve health goals. It’s easy to see why Body Scan is the recipient of three CES 2022 Innovation Honouree Awards.

  • four weight sensors for accurate measurement.
  • 14 ITO electrodes in the platform, and 4 stainless steel electrodes in the handle for the 6-lead ECG

  • year-long battery life.

Withings CEO, Mathieu Letombe said “Withings created the connected health category back in 2009 and today is proud to be the number one selling smart scale manufacturer in the United States,” including “With Body Scan, we will turn the morning weigh-in into a sophisticated home health check with access to holistic health data and personal health programs created by medical professionals.”

After the Body Scan is approved by the FDA, it will be made available in the second half of 2022. To find out more about Withings products, consumers can visit their website here.
