World of Tanks Celebrates Spooky Month With The Walking Dead Collab

With every Halloween comes new spooky goodies in gaming, and this year, Wargaming has partnered with AMC to bring The Walking Dead to the battlefield.

Announced via press release, World of Tanks Blitz will celebrate October with a month-long event that brings a sense of terror to the game. Not only will an apocalyptic fog cover the battlefield all month long, but the undead will rise from the shadows. Good thing Daryl Dixon and Negan are on hand to deal the the walkers.

From October 9th to October 20th, tankers can join Daryl Dixon on the hunt for walkers in the exclusive “All Out War Event”. The road is brutal, but the rewards are worth it: a specially designed Herdbreaker tank built for the zombie apocalypse, legendary Georgia Tracker camouflage for the T32 tank, as well as collectables themed after The Walking Dead—like Daryl’s iconic bike and Rick’s Sheriff hat.

On top of this, players can take on the “We Are Negan” quest to earn rewards themed after the iconic antagonist. To deepen the eerie atmosphere of Halloween, World of Tanks Blitz introduces a brand-new PvP mode called “Infected Front,” which will run from October 9th to October 19th. Tank battles will be transformed into a desperate struggle between Survivalists and Undead tanks across fog-cloaked arenas.

Unlike Survivalists, the Undead deal little damage with shells but unleash devastating power by ramming – a single hit is enough to destroy a Survivalist and spread the infection. To make the fight even more unpredictable, each Undead tank takes on a unique role that spreads chaos across the battlefield. Players who survive can join the Rotting Bay event with the new Tier VIII Biter tank as the ultimate prize.

As a final incentive, every player who logs in between October 9th and October 16th will be granted 15 days of Premium Account for free.
