Today at the Xbox Games Showcase, Blizzard announced World Of Warcraft: The War Within, as well as an early access date and full release date.
Players will be returning to save Azeroth on August 26th 2024, when World of Warcraft: The War Within launches. Blizzard prepared a cinematic trailer to accompany the announcement, which can be viewed below. Players who have purchased either Epic Edition, or the physical collector’s edition will gain early access to the game when it goes live on August 23rd 2024.
Featuring 4 new playable areas, the Isle of Dorn, The Ringing Deeps, Hallowfall, and Azj-Kahet, The War Within will have players pushing through these new sub-terranean worlds to take on the harbinger of the void: Xal’atath. As well, eight new dungeons await for players to team up and defeat the enemies within.
The Warcraft franchise itself is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, and World of Warcraft will be celebrating its 20th birthday later on this year. In celebration of these impressive milestones, the World of Warcraft team, has also announced a “Welcome to Azeroth” bundle to entice new and returning players to delve into this epic world.

The “Welcome to Azeroth” bundle is priced at $25 USD and will include:
– The Dragonflight expansion
– A Level 60 Character Boost
– 60 days of game time
World of Warcraft: The War Within is the 10th expansion for the wildly popular MMORPG from Blizzard, with previous entries such as Wrath of the Lich King, Cataclysm, Mysts of Pandaria, and Dragonflight.
