The return of Xbox FanFest was revealed earlier in the week, and today, Xbox revealed that it will be taking it on a global tour for its 25th anniversary.
In celebration of the 25th anniversary of Xbox, Xbox CEO Asha Sharma announced today that Xbox FanFest is going on tour to share the upcoming year of Xbox with fans around the globe. This year’s celebration is for the players who have helped shape Xbox history and will continue to do so for the next 25 years, and the Xbox FanFest experience will include a look back at the last 25 years, alongside a look towards the future of what’s next. Xbox FanFest is a free community program and in-person event series brought to fans by Microsoft, offering exclusive access to events like the annual Xbox Games Showcase in Los Angeles.
In addition to the June 2026 Los Angeles Xbox FanFest (and announced Xbox Games Showcase), Xbox will bring the party to Cologne (Germany), London (UK), Mexico City (Mexico), Seattle (USA), Sydney (Australia), Tokyo (Japan), and Toronto (Canada). Expect in-person experiences that bring the worlds of Xbox to life with opportunities for players to connect with one another. Each event will be unique to the locale where it’s held, celebrating the local Xbox community and the people that make it special.
Last year’s Xbox FanFest celebrations brought fans over 20 titles to play, along with the first hands-on experience with the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X at gamescom 2025, including a Hollow Knight: Silksong demo fully playable for the first time. While nothing as exciting has been revealed as playable this year for the Xbox FanFest celebration yet, a massive Xbox Games Showcase and a Gears of War E-Day Direct is planned for June 7 so far, with huge reveals promised by the Xbox team. The showcase will include first gameplay looks and huge news on upcoming titles from Xbox’s first-party studios.
