Xbox has announced that the Xbox Games Showcase 2025 will be held on June 8, 2025, followed by The Outer Worlds 2 Direct.
It has already been an exciting year for gamers, and Xbox is set to continue the momentum with its upcoming showcase, which will highlight titles from its first-party studios as well as new third-party releases. Immediately following the main presentation, fans can tune in for The Outer Worlds 2 Direct, a dedicated feature focused on Obsidian Entertainment’s highly anticipated sequel.

The Xbox Games Showcase 2025 will be a digital-only broadcast, streaming on YouTube, Twitch and Facebook on June 8 at 10 a.m. PDT / 1 p.m. EDT / 6 p.m. BST / 7 p.m. CET. Viewers in Japan and Australia can tune in on June 9 at 2 a.m. JST and 3 a.m. AEST. While the list of featured titles has not been confirmed, fans are hopeful for updates on DOOM: The Dark Ages and The Elder Scrolls VI, which was originally announced in 2018.

The Outer Worlds 2 Direct will follow the showcase, offering new gameplay footage and developer commentary from Obsidian Entertainment. The game is the sequel to the award-winning The Outer Worlds (2019) and puts players in the role of an Earth Directorate agent tasked with uncovering a rift that threatens humanity. Players will explore the world of Arcadia, uncover secrets, customize their character with unique abilities and choices, and recruit companions who may either grow alongside them—or meet their end based on the decisions made.
The Xbox Games Showcase and The Outer Worlds 2 Direct will stream on June 8, 2025. For more details on the titles featured during the showcase, visit Xbox Wire, the Official Xbox Podcast, or the Xbox YouTube channel.
