Xiaomi announced a series of new smart devices at a launch event in Berlin today, showcasing a wide range of offerings in entertainment, home, and mobile.
At a major launch event held today in Berlin, Germany, Xiaomi, the smartphone and hardware company, unveiled a range of devices set to hit the market in the coming weeks. While the spotlight was on the smartphones—namely the Xiaomi 14T, 14T Pro, and Xiaomi MIX Flip—Xiaomi also introduced a variety of other devices that are sure to excite tech enthusiasts everywhere.

Sticking with the mobile theme, Xiaomi announced the new Buds 5, their latest semi-in-ear design aimed at delivering solid sound performance at an affordable price. Priced at €99, they boast impressive specs, including an IP54 rating, up to 39 hours of battery life, active noise cancellation (ANC), and a triple mic with AI voice enhancement for optimal audio quality during calls. With a promise of uncompromising sound performance, these headphones bring a lot to the table at a price that undercuts many of the major players in the market.

Xiaomi also showcased their latest wearable tech at the launch, with the new Smart Band 9 taking over where the 8 left off. The new smart band features upgraded sleep monitoring, over 150 different sport modes, up to a staggering 21 days of battery life, a 1.62-inch AMOLED display, and a range of accessories to suit any style.

Shifting to their smart devices, Xiaomi announced the new Robot Vacuum X20 Max, aimed at competing with the many players in the sector. The X20 Max features an all-in-one base, making the operation of the robot vacuum as easy as possible. It also includes a special anti-tangle hair-cutting brush for pet owners, smarter obstacle avoidance, automatic mop pad lifting, 3D house mapping, and 8,000 Pa of suction power. Priced at €649, it offers a lot and will be an exciting option, especially when compared to other robot vacuums already on the market.

Last but not least, Xiaomi announced their massive Xiaomi TV Max 100, a staggeringly large 100-inch QLED display. The TV offers everything you’d expect from a screen of that size, including dual 15W speakers, built-in Google TV, 144Hz support for gaming, an A73 chip with 32GB storage and 3GB RAM for AI image processing, and 4K resolution, covering 94% of the DCI-P3 colour space. The TV is priced at €1,999, with the smaller 85-inch model costing €1,299.
With a few other minor announcements, such as a new Titan Gray colour option for the Xiaomi Watch 2 and several partnerships, it was a packed showcase, with Xiaomi presenting a vision of their devices in all aspects of consumers’ lives. It’s an impressive range of tech, and combined with the new smartphones, all featuring Leica co-developed camera systems, Xiaomi is coming out swinging for the global market.
