Marvelous USA and its independent-minded publishing brand, XSEED Games, have revealed that its classic game Ys Memoire: Revelations in Celceta will be getting an exclusive Switch version.
Updated with a rearranged musical score, Ys Memoire: Revelations in Celceta has a release date set for April 28th, 2026. It will also be available for pre-purchase on the Nintendo eShop for $29.99, plus there’s a 15 percent discount available from now until May 4th, 2026.
The Ys Memoire games follow a long history of the same person, Adol Christin, one of the most well-travelled adventurers in his world. The games themselves are all about the memoirs that Adol wrote on his travels, with each subsequent game following the next memoir in the line, even a prequel about a book that mentions him centuries before he was even born. Even though Revelations in Celceta is the fourth game in the series, it canonically takes place between the first and third memoirs.
The Ys Memoire series of games has a system akin to many of the original Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest games, but does it a little differently. The battles your party gets into are not set in stone; enemies change, and party tactics have to change with them. Oftentimes, your party will gain new abilities in the midst of the battle to stand a chance against more powerful encounters. Aside from that, one of the draws of the original series was the mapping system, which lets players mark their own map with mysterious locations and more.
True fans of Ys Memoire: Revelations in Celceta will be glad to know that there is a day-one edition available for pre-order on the Marvelous USA Online Store and at participating stores. Included with the day one edition is a copy of the game itself, a 3-D acrylic keychain/diorama set, a full set of two discs containing 32 tracks from the game’s OST, five art cards featuring in-game characters, and finally a 21” x 14” cloth map of the beautiful region of Celceta. All of those goodies are contained within an ornate box with artwork and priced at a pretty reasonable $84.99 CAD.
