HoYoverse has ripped off the band-aid on the latest update coming to Zenless Zone Zero. Version 2.4, On the Precipice of the Abyss, has been revealed, bringing new and returning characters in tow.
Earlier today, HoYoverse continued full steam ahead on its update schedule and deployed the Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.4 On the Precipice of the Abyss reveal trailer for fans to take a gander at what’s to come. HoYoverse often rolls out the red carpet for every update to all of its titles in its catalogue — Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail also keep fans updated on everything before it happens with Special Program reveals and trailers — and the trailer reveal today for Zenless Zone Zero is no different. The On the Precipice of the Abyss‘ teaser can be seen below.
Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.4 teases the arrival of agents Dialyn and Banyue from the Krampus Compliance Authority, and introduces not only these new allies to the battlefield, but new judgment agendas as well. Version 2.4 starts after averting a disaster beneath Timesworn Hill (and seeing deeper mysteries within Yidhari’s dreamscape).
Fleeting visions have emerged of Sarah and Ye Shiyuan together, which is unexpected given that the senior member of Yunkui Summit is not usually involved in the Exaltists’ conspiracy and their Creator. Yunkui Summit member (and Shiyuan’s sister) Ye Shunguang (who’s now ascended as the new master of the Qingming Sword) joins the Proxies to embark on a journey to uncover the truth.
With Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.4, two agents join the fray. Dialyn is an S-Rank Physical Stun Agent from Krampus, and she brings her experience as a cheeky customer service specialist to the battlefield. She deploys two unique resources, Customer Complaint and Positive Review, and she excels at stunning enemies while calling up teammates to directly unleash their Ultimate abilities in combat. Her attacks also have a Bayonetta-inspired flair with mega-sized stomps and punches.
The second agent is Banyue, an S-Rank Fire Rupture agent and a martial arts master. Banyue “has fused countless techniques into a combination style of immense power and splendour,” and his combat technique relies on alternating Adrenaline and Wrathful Fires to sustain his continuous actions and fluid combos, rewarding experienced players who master his rhythm. Version 2.4 also welcomes back Agents Hugo (Attack – Ice) and Ellen (Attack – Ice), so Proxies who have missed out earlier have a second chance.
Two new Bangboo companions also join the Zenless Zone Zero battlefield in Version 2.4. Birkblick from Krampus uses a multifunctional sensor array that transforms into a floating cannon during combat, and the cheerful Bild N. Boolok wields a massive block hammer to smash enemies.
