Lace up your work boots and grab your straw hat—the latest Farming Simulator by Giants Software is here! Boasting numerous improvements over the last game, Farming Simulator 25 is chock-full of tasks to do, machines to master, lands to explore and more!

As someone who has always loved simulation-based games involving various types of machinery, I was eager and excited to try out Farming Simulator 25. Initially, I was unsure where to get started or how to even begin farming. It wasn’t until I went through the tutorial that I learned where to begin. This is certainly a recommended step for those new to the game.

Once I learned the basics, it was off to the fields to begin working. Farming Simulator has a wide range of potential tasks for players to learn and perform, from mowing fields to chopping down trees or even tending to farm animals. You can easily immerse yourself in one of three different maps in Farming Simulator 25 and spend hours playing without realizing it. I often found myself losing track of time and realizing it was 2 a.m.

Giants Software has done a terrific job of sculpting and forming gorgeous-looking maps with beautiful countryside scenery, including small towns where you can sell off crops or materials like logs and stones. All completed tasks earn you money, which you can use to buy more products, upgrade your machines, or even build a larger fleet of vehicles to assist in your tasks to help earn even more money.

I generally found myself preferring the logging tasks and enjoyed operating different grapples, forwarders, and logging trucks, but that’s one of the best things about this style of game—everyone can play their own way. I still tried different tasks to get a feel for each machine and learn the basics to expand my knowledge of the game.

Weather added further complications, as it can in real life, so you have to learn when to call it quits on your current task and be prepared for whatever Mother Nature throws your way. Twisters and hail are among the latest weather conditions you could face in the game. Various types of precipitation can also affect how much of each crop you can harvest or prepare, adding further challenges to the gameplay.

In multiplayer, you can team up with other players to add even more immersion to your time playing, helping each other build and gain more. This wasn’t something I was able to spend time on, as I did not have any friends who had the game during my testing.

All in all, I had a blast during my time playing Farming Simulator 25. With more to unlock as I progress, I look forward to trying out even larger and more advanced machinery as time goes on. This will almost definitely be a game I continue to return to repeatedly to play and spend at least a few hours passing the time.
