Listening to music is something we can all agree can help make your work day go by more easily and can help you concentrate on the task at hand. However, at some jobs, such as mine as a truck driver, I also need to be able to communicate with co-workers in my truck or over the in-cab radio. So, listening to my music over the radio may not necessarily be something co-workers want to hear. One might think conventional earbuds or headphones may be a solution, but they can often muffle or block out communications when I am needed. Recently, the ACEFAST AceFit Air earbuds landed at my door, and they might just be the perfect set of earbuds for my situation.

The ACEFAST AceFit Air earbuds are an open-style earbud that wraps around and sits near your ear canal without being inserted into your ear. At first, these initially took a little getting used to after using earbuds that were always placed further in. While I wouldn’t say they sat snugly around my relatively smaller-sized ears, after a little time adapting to their design, I found their lightweight of 7.5g barely noticeable when wearing them, even after extended use periods.
When not in use, the ACEFAST AceFit Air are stored in a surprisingly thin, although wider and longer case, that can slip into some of the tightest of pockets with ease. The overall shape felt reminiscent of rocks I would try to skip along various lakes and ponds. This case will provide up to 25 hours of additional listening time, or two hours of extra playtime, by just storing the earbuds for ten minutes. While this may not compare to much longer use times from companies such as OnePlus, this is still more than adequate for those wanting a little extra listening time for working out or going for a quick walk or run.

The earbuds themselves get about six hours of listening time each, which won’t likely get you through a full work day before needing a recharge. I personally never found this to be much of a hindrance in my use, but those who need or expect longer battery life from their earbuds may want to look elsewhere.

My listening experience was amazing, although it took a little adjustment. Being able to listen to my music or content at a reasonable volume, while still being able to have full conversations with those around me or while being able to hear my surroundings was a rather strange sensation at first, but was something I found especially useful at work.
I was rather surprised at how clean and rich music sounded with the ACEFAST AceFit Air; this is mainly due to the open ear design. All music came out sounding as I would’ve expected, and I had as pleasant an experience as some of my earbuds and headphones costing several times more than these. Lows and mids came out clear and crisp, and equally impressive were the lows with deep sound without any noticeable distortion when playing back various media.
While EQ tuning in the app was fairly limited, at least over iOS, I found I generally found myself sticking with the stock setting and found it more than adequate for my liking. Also in the app, you can adjust what each earphone can do using various taps on its earpiece.

Those sensors I found to be slightly on the sensitive side, however, I would rather have a little extra sensitivity over one requiring excessive force or not registering presses when I need them to. I was easily able to control my volume and track selection with no real learning curve required.
The ACEFAST AceFit Air earbuds, while not perfect in all aspects, have become an essential piece of tech I find myself constantly tossing in my work bag as they allow me to listen to my music while making sure I’m still aware of everything going on around me. They deliver more than acceptable audio quality and are light enough to wear that I don’t find myself getting uncomfortable after longer periods of time. While I do wish the battery life were slightly better and more competitive with smaller earbuds on the market, they manage to do everything I require of them.
