The AC70P from BLUETTI is a portable power station designed to provide power in any setting. As part of the Premium Portable Power Station Series, the AC70P offers an impressive selection of ports, charging options, and general versatility to accommodate your power needs. Whether you’re in the great outdoors or require a power supply unit (PSU), the AC70P is built to deliver reliable power support.
The AC70P features a straightforward, box-like design. The front panel is equipped with all the outputs, as well as an informative digital display that highlights key information, such as the current battery level and power draw. In addition to the display, there are three control buttons: power, AC, and DC selectors. These simple yet effective buttons allow you to control power allocation, directing energy to the desired ports without feeding power to the entire system. As the names suggest, you can direct power to either DC, AC, or both as needed.

A carry handle is built into the top panel, moulded seamlessly into the shell to double as a hand grip. It feels rugged, and at a weight of 22.5 lbs, it’s sturdy yet light enough not to feel burdensome. The AC70P measures 10″ H x 8.2″ W x 12.4″ L, making it fairly compact considering the battery size (more on this in a moment). Every port and indicator is clearly labelled, making it easy to navigate the display and buttons.
“With its 864Wh battery, the AC70P can easily handle a continuous 1,000W power draw, supporting most outdoor and household appliances.”
In terms of ports, the AC70P features 2 x 120V/8.3A plugs, 2 x USB Type-C, 2 x USB Type-A, 1 x 12V/10A car outlet, and 1 wireless charging pad rated at 15W. This array gives the portable power station incredible flexibility in the field. Combined with the power control options, the AC70P offers a wide range of charging solutions.
As for input options, the AC70P once again provides a variety of charging methods, with the necessary cables included. A single AC power input supports Turbo Charge mode, offering up to 950W charging, while a solar and car input gives users multiple ways to recharge the unit. While the review unit did not include a solar panel, there are options to purchase one separately or as part of a combo on BLUETTI’s official site. Additionally, third-party solar panels can be connected, provided they meet the AC70P’s minimum requirements.

Featuring an 864Wh battery, the AC70P can easily handle a continuous 1,000W power draw, supporting most outdoor and household appliances. When more power is needed, the AC70P can push an impressive 2,000W, thanks to BLUETTI’s Power Lifting Mode, translating into some impressive power options.
For example, during testing, I powered my electric flat grill to cook homemade pancakes and bacon while still having plenty of power left to charge devices. In longevity testing, I was able to run my work laptop for two and a half days (about 20 hours) on a single charge, all while charging my phone and Bluetooth speakers. Running my 43” smart TV and Xbox, I easily got over six hours of gaming before needing to plug in the AC70P.
“The turbocharging capability allows the AC70P to go from 0% to 80% capacity in about 45 minutes.”
In terms of PSU capabilities, the AC70P has no issue supporting important electronics during a power outage. In testing, I flipped the breakers in the house while the AC70P was plugged into the wall and supplying power passthrough to my gaming PC—there was no interruption in power. Throughout testing, I’ve been impressed with the AC70P’s longevity.

Another standout feature is its turbocharging capability. When charging via an AC adapter, the AC70P can go from 0% to 80% capacity in about 45 minutes. In my three charges, it consistently charged to full within an hour and a half. Even while charging, the unit remains fairly quiet.
The BLUETTI app, available on the Google Play store, provides wireless (Bluetooth 5.1) control over the power station. Power distribution, level monitoring, and AC70P features can all be managed through the app. However, while you can power down the station remotely, you cannot power it back on via the app—just a point to note, not a critique.
The only real drawback of the AC70P is its lack of an official IP rating for splash or dust resistance. While BLUETTI’s other models (AC240 and AC60) feature IP65 certification, the AC70P does not have the same durability, which seems odd given its advertised outdoor use. Although this doesn’t affect functionality, it’s disappointing that there’s no level of splash or dust protection.

The AC70P portable power station from BLUETTI is an impressive piece of hardware. It offers a range of power output and input options to accommodate most situations. Its user-friendly menu ensures you’ll spend less time adjusting the hardware and more time enjoying the portable power it provides. While it lacks IP protection, the AC70P’s 1,000W output, turbocharging option, and Power Lift Mode more than makeup for this minor critique. The AC70P is an excellent option for portable power.
