The DJI Power 2000 is the latest Power series portable power station iteration from the well-known Drone manufacturer. Featuring an impressive 2048WH battery capacity, a vast array of charging ports and options, and a host of accessories to customize your user experience, the DJI Power 2000 aims to set a new standard for portable power stations. With years of experience and a pedigree for quality, DJI has a lot to bring to the table with the Power 2000.
A natural evolution of the Power 1000, the Power 2000 aims to double down on all the elements that made its predecessor successful. Doubling down is not an exaggeration; double the battery capacity from the previous generation’s 1024 Wh battery, the Power 2000 packs an impressive 2048WH battery in almost the same casing as the Power 1000. Measuring slightly taller at approximately 13” vs the Power 1000’s 9” height, the Power 2000 still manages to carry the same width (8.8”) and length (17.6”). This is the largest capacity power station I’ve reviewed, and it still manages to carry similar dimensions to those that have come before.
The overall design follows a similar layout to most power stations, with all connections, both incoming and outgoing, housed on the front of the unit. On that note, you’ll find no shortage of connectors to choose from. The Power 2000 sports an impressive lineup of ports, including four AC plugs, one of which is rated for 30 amp 125 Volt, four USB-C (2 x 140W, 2 x 65 W), four USB-A (4 x 24W) and two bi-directional SDC ports specifically designed to support DJI’s impressive accessory line up.

A quick note on the SDC ports: while I’ve not had any accessories that leverage the port’s bidirectional capabilities, the technology used here is impressive. First, if you are a content creator who uses DJI drones, the SDC port and accompanying accessory are built specifically to fast-charge supported drones, making the Power 2000 ideal for long days of content creation in the field.
As for the bidirectional properties, each SDC port can detect and then deliver DC based on the output need without any additional customization or settings. Alternatively, it will automatically detect and switch to DC input charging when it detects a power source plugged into the port. It’s smart tech at its finest and a great quality of life feature for the Power 2000.
“As for charging the Power 2000, DJI has equipped it with impressive ultrafast charging that can take the battery from 0-100% in about 90 minutes.”
Setting up the Power 2000 is a straightforward affair thanks to the DJI Home App available for Android and iOS. When the power station is first powered up, it immediately goes into pairing mode. Once that app is installed and turned on, the Power 2000 is recognized and, after logging into your DJI account, is accessible via the app’s dashboard. The app provides real-time monitoring of both input and output voltage as well as estimated time remaining on the current battery charge. It’s informative and easy to navigate.
As for charging the Power 2000, DJI has equipped it with impressive ultrafast charging that can take the battery from 0-100% in about 90 minutes. This is thanks to the 1800W power delivery (via wall outlet). I’ve been consistently impressed with the charging of the Power 2000 during testing, having now cycled it three full times. While the 90 minutes to 100% is true and impressive, I’ve found that the Power 2000 can charge from 0-80% in just under an hour, which is great for those “I need it quick” moments.

Alternatively, users can also charge the unit via their car power outlet or solar panel, both of which will require a DJI SDC accessory. On the note of accessories, the US release of the Power 2000 will additionally include a Zignes 100W Solar Panel and DJI Power Solar Panel Adapter Module, which leverages the aforementioned SDC port. While outside the scope of the review, it is worth noting that the Zignes 100W Solar Panel is impressively compact, collapsible and exceptionally portable; an ideal companion to the Power 2000.
As for the Power Solar Panel Adapter, it comes with two mounting brackets that allow for easy attachment to the Power 2000, essentially creating a unified single unit for travel. The module is mounted to to anchor points located on the side of the portable power station. It takes less than a moment to assemble and adds very little by way of extra bulk to the unit. It’s a smart and straightforward design that allows for three Solar panels to simultaneously charge the Power 2000.
“On the note of power outages, the Power 2000 also doubles as a UPS, providing uninterrupted power to devices in case of an outage.”
While I wasn’t able to test the SDC car charger accessory, the Zignes solar panel and DJI Power Solar Panel modules worked as advertised, providing charge to the Power 2000 without issue. It was a bit harder to determine max charge time, as conditions these past few weeks have been less than ideal for solar charging, but each time I’ve tested the solar charging, it has consistently worked without issue.
As for longevity, with a 2048WH battery, I’ve had no issue powering multiple laptops for several days during testing. Using the Power 2000 every day for the past three weeks, I’ve only charged the unit three times in total. In testing, I’ve appreciated the higher capacity USB-C charging, which has allowed me to leverage the hypercharge modes on both my phone and tablet. The sheer number of ports has also allowed for a lot of accessories charging and has become the one-stop shop for all my family’s electronic devices during testing.

While the longevity testing has been impressive, what’s more amazing is the power output. I mentioned previously that the Power 2000 has an additional AC port rated for 30 amp, 125 volt. This is used specifically in RVs to power a host of appliances, from Air conditioners to refrigerators. The fact that a portable power station can sustain 3000W output is impressive to say the least. The Power 2000 can be used as an emergency backup for an RV or even a home during a power outage in a meaningful way.
On the note of power outages, the Power 2000 also doubles as a UPS, providing uninterrupted power to devices in case of an outage. With a 0.01-second mode switching capability, the Power 2000 has no issue protecting your devices from sudden power loss. In testing, it worked without issue, easily maintaining my PC and monitor when flipping the breaker to the office.
The Power 2000 from DJI is an impressive portable power station. It provides an exceptional amount of power and is highly adaptable to a vast array of situations. With impressive quick charging, bi-directional SDC ports and the AC 30 amp, 125 volt RV plug, DJI really has created a portable power station for everyone. Ideal for camping, content creators and home owners, the DJI Power 2000 offers unprecedented portable power.
