EarFun Tune Pro

Brutalist Review Style (Version 2)

Over the last couple of years, I have had the privilege of getting to try a handful of different audio products from EarFun, a lesser know company that has quickly become one of my go-to brands when recommending low cost but high feature devices. This time around, I have gotten to try their latest model of headphones, the EarFun Tune Pros.

Like previous products I have tried, they come in at a budget friendly cost of only $89.99, making them easily affordable for anyone looking to buy a pair of Bluetooth headphones. Do they live up to what I have come to expect from EarFun and do will they earn a place amongst my current tech roster? Stick around and find out as we dive into all that are the EarFun Tune Pro headphones.

Like products of previous years, EarFun always nails it when it comes to box design, showing off high-res images of the product, while featuring bright colors that are sure to stand out amongst typically darker boxes of many other products. However, internally, came one of my first initial surprises. In previous years with other products, EarFun has packed a case in with their headphones, making carrying them in a bag less worry some. This time, that does not seem to be the situation.

Unboxing the Tune Pro headphones, aside from the headphones themselves, EarFun has only packed in a charging cable, aux cable and small manual. Last years Wave Pro headphones only cost a similar price but included a hard case that left assurance they would make it to wherever im going, in one piece, when tossing them in a backpack or suitcase. While I suppose the exclusion this year helps keep costs low562525, I would’ve liked to have seen at least a pouch to prevent some scratching or damages.

Much of the design of the EarFun Tune Pros reminded me a lot of the Wave Pros, although button layout was slightly different on this model. On the left side ear cup, you find the ANC control button and USB C charging port and, on the right, you find the volume and power control functions along with the 3.5mm aux cord port.

Both earcups and the headband feature thicker cushioning than some other headphones I have tried and it made them very comfortable to wear on my head for longer periods of time. Additionally, both earcups also fully encased my ears in the padding, to help reduce external noise when using ANC mode, more on that later though.

Living up to previous tested products, audio quality from the EarFun Tune Pro’s doesn’t disappoint. Powered by dual 40mm and 10mm drivers, music came out sounding wonderful and as one would expect. I was impressed with the overall richness of the bass along with the incredibly detailed and clear high and mid tone range. Listening to my vast array of favorite songs from different genres, it never mattered what I played, the Tune Pros delivered a listening experience I consistently found myself coming back for, time after time.

Of course, while audio quality is one of the big factors when selecting a pair of Bluetooth headphones, battery life is an additional factor you must think about as well. Afterall, what good is your music if you can’t listen to it for overly long? Once again, EarFun has incorporated an exceptionally long battery life into the Tune Pro headphones. While using ANC mode, you can expect to listen to music for a total of 80 hours, allowing you to leave the charger at home when taking them on vacation.

More so, if you do not choose to use ANC, you can get up to a whopping 120 hours of overall listening time! This blows any previous pairs of headphones I have tested out of the water, even after several weeks of testing for hours at a time, I never found myself needing to search for a cable to top up.

When top up time does arise, a measly 10 minutes of charge time will get you up to an additional 15 of listening time, meaning in the time you can make yourself a cup of coffee and you can get enough battery to get you through the day with ease. Total charge time takes up to around 3 hours, which, while extensive, isn’t a problem if you choose to charge up while sleeping.

EarFun has once again delivered an exceptionally well-rounded pair of Bluetooth headphones that not only pack the features and functionality one would hope for, but they deliver top of the charts battery life as well. Like every other product I have tested from EarFun, the Tune Pro’s come in at an affordable price that should be well within range of anyone with a set of headphones in their sights. For anyone looking for a good set of no compromises headphones who don’t have to have the big brand name, the EarFun Tune Pros could make a great option for you.
