The whole unit, when assembled, tops out at 5ft in height with the manual controls at the base of the actual light. The entire floor lamp weighs just a shade under 10 lbs and is incredibly sturdy for being a tall, thin lamp.

For someone who just wants a nice, white light in their room, the O1 can give you that, with ambient light with a colour temperature ranging between 2700K and 5700K. For the content creators out there for whom this will make a difference, the Lepro O1’s light frequency is 50 Hz, just so you know what anti-flicker to use.

The Lepro App is your best stop to control all of Lepro’s lights, either individually or as a group. The main tool in the Lepro App toolbox is Lepro LightGPM AI, an LLM AI model trained on colour psychology, allowing the O1 AI Floor Lamp to display scenes based on the mood that you either speak into your phone or type in the prompt. Tell the app “I feel excited,” “I’m sad,” or “I want to party,” and the light show you will receive will be an appropriate one.
Music scenes are also a fun way to add some life to your lighting, with a number of scenes designed to make the Lepro O1 AI Floor Lamp dance to the music, whether it is being picked up from the mic on your phone or the built-in mic on the floor lamp. But that is really where the app stops being great. Customizing your own scenes is a pretty big pain, needing you to paint your colour schemes in a multi-pixel layout. The gradient between the colours always comes out smooth, but the process is clunky without enough pre-made scenes to make it worthwhile.
With a price of $159.99 USD, the Lepro O1 AI Floor Lamp is a little pricier than I would want for a smart light, given the app’s mixed capabilities, but as a light all on its own, it is worth the price so much so that it makes you forgive what you wish you had in the app. And, given that apps are easier to update and improve than lamps, it gives me hope that the O1 can grow to be even greater than it already is.
