Logitech’s G915 X Lightspeed TKL marks a significant leap in design and functionality for compact keyboards. Building on the foundation of its predecessor, the G915, this refreshed model brings a sleek, modern aesthetic with thoughtful upgrades that enhance both performance and usability. With an aluminum frame that’s as durable as it is stylish, the G915 X achieves a polished, industrial look that fits seamlessly into both gaming setups and professional workspaces. For those who prioritize both aesthetics and practicality, the G915 X Lightspeed strikes a balance that few competitors can match, offering a satisfying experience for daily typing, gaming and multimedia use.
Logitech’s latest and greatest offers a stylish aluminum finish that rounds the edges over to the frame of the keyboard, adding to the overall thickness of the device when compared to the original G915 keyboard. Thankfully, this added heft adds to the premium feel of the G915 X Lightspeed, ultimately resulting in a keyboard that looks both industrial and sleek.

With only a .1mm difference in actuation compared to the G515, the only difference I noticed about the Logitech G915 X Lightspeed was more in its extended media feature set, something I wish the G515 utilized in its design.

Featuring GL switches that opt for a cross-fitting design, making it possible to swap them out with relative ease, the G915 X Lightspeed is a satisfying keyboard to type on. The reliance on more traditional cross-style GL switches also means those who are into customizing their keys should be able to replace the existing PBT plastic keycaps with Cherry MX cross-style keycaps, as long as they’re of a lower profile set.
In truth, however, on the topic of keycaps, the included PBT moulded cross-style caps Logitech decided to go with for the G915 X Lightspeed are solid, both in their feel during work and play, in addition to the light distribution of the RGB light underneath.

Aesthetically, the Logitech G915 X Lightspeeds comes in a gunmetal black and white variant, with my review unit being the latter. The inclusion of a metal finish makes the keyboard stand out while not veering into the often garish realm of overly gamer-looking tech.
As is typical with TKL-style keyboards, the Logitech G915 X Lightspeed omits the number pad in favour of a smaller footprint and includes dedicated media keys, which use a soft-textured membrane to distinguish them from the primary keys. Additionally, like its aluminum chassis, the G915 X Lightspeed features a dedicated volume wheel with a metal finish, enhancing the device’s overall premium feel. If there is one minor issue, I wish the cylindrical volume scroll wheel could be depressed or clicked to double as a mute button rather than having to hover over and press the membrane toggle.

Both the dedicated USB connection with the included dongle and its Bluetooth mode provided excellent performance, with no discernible lag or input-related issues. In terms of battery life, I achieved an impressive 41 hours of use with RGB active, which, when disabled, should yield even longer-lasting results, with some reports citing hundreds of hours when fully turned off. Realistically, however, with its excellent use of RGB paired with the ability to share its USB connection with multiple Logitech devices through the G HUB app, turning off the lights on the G915 X, even for extended battery life, would be a waste.

Outside of the light pass-through on the keys themselves, the G915 X features a smart-looking Logitech “G” emblem on the left of the keyboard, which can also be customized and tailored to your colour preferences, matching up with other devices that feature the iconic emblem.
The Logitech G915 X Lightspeed provides a solid and enjoyable typing experience thanks to its carefully designed key switches. Each keypress delivers a satisfying click with subtle dampening to reduce noise, making it less intrusive in quieter environments. This combination of tactile feedback and quieter operation makes the G915 X well-suited for both professional office use and home setups, where comfort and performance are equally valued.

On the other end of the spectrum, the dedicated media and function keys feel distinct with rubberized caps, featuring your typical gamut of media controls, in addition to Logitech-specific options such as toggles for the dedicated USB connection, Bluetooth, a game mode (which disables specific keys from accidentally being pressed) and a brightness adjustment key for the RGB lighting.

In terms of overall weight and feel, the Logitech G915 X feels premium but not heavy thanks to its low-profile design and metal finish, making it possible to realistically throw in a bag or briefcase to take on the go. Finally, the bottom of the keyboard features two foldable feet with two distinct points that can be adjusted depending on the profile and angle you desire.
The Logitech G915 X checks all the boxes of what I look for in a TKL keyboard while also addressing my biggest complaint with their G515’s lack of dedicated media keys, ultimately making the Logitech G915 X Lightspeed one of the best offerings from Logitech yet.
