The REDMAGIC 10S Pro is the latest flagship smartphone from tech company REDMAGIC. Boasting the new Snapdragon 8 Elite, up to 24 GB of LPDDR5T RAM and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.1 Pro storage, it’s packed with features and offers a unique look and feel. On paper, the REDMAGIC 10S Pro looks like a standout premium phone—but specs and style alone aren’t enough to earn that label. It’s time to see how well it performs.
Out of the box, the REDMAGIC 10S Pro—much like the REDMAGIC 10 Air I reviewed back in April—offers a distinct, sleek design that sets it apart from many of the phones we test. Most notable is the lack of a camera bump, a long-standing hallmark of modern smartphone design. REDMAGIC has done away with it, and I couldn’t be happier. The result is a smooth, flush backplate that helps the 10S Pro immediately stand out.

To further distinguish REDMAGIC’s flagship, the design team has included a striking transparent metal body that gives the 10S Pro a truly unique look. Available in three colours—Moonlight, Dusk and Nightfall—the phone offers a range of standout options. REDMAGIC has also moved away from the rounded corners typical of most smartphones, opting instead for a sharper, more angular silhouette. Once again, this design choice reinforces the 10S Pro’s distinct identity.
“The REDMAGIC 10S Pro is an exceptional smartphone that lives up to its flagship status.”
Another distinct feature of the 10S Pro is the inclusion of virtual bumper controls located along the right edge of the phone, following the same design as the 10 Air, as well as the ROG Phone 9. While the virtual bumpers work well and are compatible with an impressive number of mobile games, I have one small critique of the design.
The less-rounded corners of the 10S Pro, while visually striking, make it slightly harder to wrap your index fingers around the edges when engaging the virtual triggers. It’s by no means unusable—just less comfortable than other phones with a similar trigger setup. While I do critique this minor design detail, I still prefer the sharpened corners aesthetically and would gladly trade a bit of ergonomic comfort for the sake of the overall design.

A closer look at the 10S Pro reveals a unique and customizable “Magic Key,” which acts as a shortcut to various features on the device. Another standout is the inclusion of two vents for the built-in 23,000 RPM fan. As part of the 10-layer ICE-X cooling system, the fan automatically activates during resource-intensive tasks like gaming and can be managed through REDMAGIC’s in-house operating system. It even includes customizable RGB lighting, adding a fun, personalized touch.
Looking deeper into the 10S Pro’s thermal management, REDMAGIC has assembled a fairly robust cooling system for its flagship. In addition to the high-speed fan, the ICE-X setup includes a 12,000 mm² vapour chamber composed of graphene and copper. This design helps maintain a consistently cool environment, which in turn supports more stable frame rates during demanding sessions.
Finally, the system also includes Liquid Metal 2.0, placed directly above the CPU to help disperse heat more efficiently. While I’ve only seen this feature in a handful of other premium phones, I was impressed to see it included in the 10S Pro. This level of intentionality in the cooling system design speaks to REDMAGIC’s commitment to building a truly competitive performance phone.

On the performance front, the 10S Pro includes the aforementioned Snapdragon 8 Elite, turbocharged with REDMAGIC’s RedCore R3 gaming chip. Together, they deliver exceptionally smooth performance for both gaming and productivity. The review model provided featured 16 GB of LPDDR5T RAM and 512 GB of UFS 4.1 Pro storage, further elevating the phone’s capabilities.
“Thanks to the RedCore R3 Pro graphics chip and the gorgeous 144Hz AMOLED panel, the 10S Pro provides some of the brightest, cleanest and most colour-rich gaming I’ve tested on a phone.”
Benchmark testing yielded impressive results. On Geekbench 6, the 10S Pro scored 3,183 in single-core and 9,916 in multi-core performance, placing it above the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which scored 2,884 and 9,525, respectively. Similarly, on 3DMark, the 10S Pro posted a score of 2,526, once again edging out the Galaxy S25 Ultra at 2,289. There’s no doubt the 10S Pro is a powerhouse.
Game performance testing only reiterates how powerful the 10S Pro is. Thanks to the RedCore R3 Pro graphics chip, as well as the gorgeous 6.58” 144Hz AMOLED panel, the 10S Pro provides some of the brightest, cleanest and most colour-rich gaming I’ve tested on a phone. REDMAGIC has worked hard to leverage every square millimetre of the surface area on the 10S Pro, providing a screen-to-body ratio of 95.3%.

Throw in a beautiful 2K resolution, 2,000-nit peak brightness and an impressive 960 Hz multi-finger touch sampling rate, and the 10S Pro becomes one of the best mobile gaming phones I’ve ever tested. Resource-heavy titles such as Diablo Immortal and Genshin Impact play flawlessly. More impressive still is how cool the phone remains in hand, thanks to the ICE-X cooling system mentioned earlier.
“There’s no doubt the 10S Pro is a powerhouse.”
For clarity, the 10S Pro isn’t marketed strictly as a gaming phone. While it delivers an excellent gaming experience, it’s the integration of AI tools—coupled with REDMAGIC 10 OS—that elevates its productivity capabilities. Built on the Android 15 distribution, REDMAGIC 10 OS offers several quality-of-life features, such as Smart Sidebar and a suite of AI tools found in other modern Android phones. Most notably, REDMAGIC has done an admirable job integrating these tools into the user experience without cluttering the system with bloatware.
Battery life on the 10S Pro has been solid, thanks to the 7,050 mAh battery. In real-world productivity testing, I was able to use the phone for two full days before needing a charge. As a heavy phone user for work, this was especially impressive. Additionally, with 80W fast charging, the phone can easily go from zero to 100% in under an hour, assuming you have a compatible charger. My only real critique is the lack of wireless charging support, which feels like a missed opportunity on a flagship device.

REDMAGIC has included the latest in connectivity, with dual-band 5G Wi-Fi, NFC support and dual SIM capabilities. These features help keep the 10S Pro in line with other premium smartphones and provide a fast, reliable experience for web browsing and cloud-based productivity.
The 10S Pro also features a 50 MP main camera, a 50 MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2 MP macro camera, all located on the bevel-less back panel. Both the main and ultra-wide cameras use an OV50E40 sensor, offering solid image stabilization and anti-glare capabilities. In testing, I found colour capture to be vibrant, while image sharpness was clean and clear. While not marketed as a photo-centric smartphone, the 10S Pro still produces some impressive shots.

On the front, the 10S Pro houses a 16 MP camera with an OV16EQ sensor. It performs well for selfies, and thanks to REDMAGIC’s integrated AI enhancements, it captures facial details with impressive clarity. The AI also enables smooth, real-time filter application, making quick edits effortless.

Filming with the 10S Pro is equally impressive, offering support for up to 8K resolution at 30 frames per second. Camera stabilization is supported up to 4K at 60 fps, which performed reliably in testing. The final video quality is sharp and well-balanced, while the onboard microphones capture clean and accurate audio. For creators or casual users alike, the 10S Pro offers an excellent mobile camera setup.
The REDMAGIC 10S Pro is an exceptional smartphone that lives up to its flagship status. From its powerful hardware to its robust feature set, there’s a lot to admire in this unique and capable device. While there are a few features I’d like to see in a future iteration—such as wireless charging—I’m thoroughly impressed by what REDMAGIC has accomplished with the 10S Pro.
